Directions to the Mt. Carmel Site in Waco

Posted by Steven Benjamin (wertq) on February 18, 2009, 12:47 pm

I just thought some may be coming by here looking for directions to Mt. Carmel or some in here may be going there for the first time. Despite the political histories involved, I don’t think new comers should have any difficulty in accessing the site provided they show up during daylight hours.

There is a back way into the site which is only in truth about 5 minutes from town. I don’t know all the names of the roads, but have been down it a couple of times. Not too hard to find, but for sake the traditional directions are listed here, these are the ones I was first given, and it will take you through about 5 to 8 miles of rural route, at least it felt that way driving it, and is about 15 or 20 minutes tops from the main highway {35}. After you get there, if you want to go the back way into town which is much quicker, follow EE Ranch Road all the way to the end, take a left on Old Mexia Road, follow that road all the way to the end it will change names, and there be a stop sign but I don’t really recall, anyway it will become Campground Road, but will still be the same road and it will end at loop 340, take a right, you will be in town in about 2 minutes. Now this is the quick way to town from Mt. Carmel and also the quick to Mt. Carmel from town especially if your going to be in the motel districts. But, most people in the region will give the following directions which are in truth the long way, but more widely known to the locals there.

Mount Carmel Massacre Site
Address: Waco, TX
COMING FROM AUSTIN, You will travel I-35 north to loop 340. You will take a right, and the sign will say Loop 340/HWY 6 you will go about 5 or 6 miles I think, but for certain, I know you will cross one bridge which goes over a set of train tracks, then you will go under another bridge, an overpass and there will be a little conveince store on your left, that is your last chance for gas, so keep it in mind, cause it gets country from there. Not too far though. After going under the underpass you will take a right about a mile or two up the road not long after the 4 lanes become two, the road you will turn on will be Hwy 2491 (Elk Rd) about five miles east of Loop 340. You’ll come to a split in the road, but stay on 2491 which bears to the left. Look for the large blue water towers on your right. Double EE Ranch Rd will be right across from the water towers. They will be the only water towers on the road to that point, so they are not hard to miss. Not far from the split you’ll see large, wavy metal gates on the left (Double E Ranch Rd). Just beyond that property is a gravel road on the left (Double EE Ranch Rd). Turn down that gravel road, I think it may be paved now, but a hundred yards or so down You will see a house on the left, that is the house the agents were living in for several months before the seige. right across the road is the entrance to Mt. Carmel, from the main road The Mount Carmel property is a short distance on the right, a city block or so at best, likely less.

Now like I said, those directions will take you about 10 or 15 minutes, 20 depending on how you handle country drives, to arrive from the main Hwy 77/I-35 which runs North and South. From Mt. Carmel, if your immediate interest is gas or eats, like I said, the back way is only about 5 or 10 minutes total to arrive in town.

I have got family on Mexia road. I was once told they could “SEE MT. CARMEL” that is a bit of an exagerration depending on the context. They could most definitely see those funnels of smoke, but I am sure most of Waco could as well, certainly anyone on the North side of town, and I was told my family bunkered down on the side of the house opposite Mt. Carmel during the intial seige, and that is most believable, with all those rounds being fired from both sides. It is in truth maybe a mile or less from Mt. Carmel as the crow flies. And I used to hang out with some rowdy rednecks who use to love to shoot thier SKS rounds into the woods adjacent thier property. After a year or so, A guy came by once, making inquiry, and pleading, “PLEASE STOPS SHOOTING YOUR GUNS…I Live Two miles on the other side of those woods, and me and my wife hear those rounds fly over our heads and have been scared to death. I have been hearing those shots go off, and hunting the source for MONTHS!!” yeah, those bullets people shoot in the air, eventually have to come down somewhere, and can still have the velocity to kill.

I have been in a couple gunfights, I won’t list the details, but I can tell you I have also been shot at when I was empty handed and unsuspecting, and there is whole ‘nuther’ level of terror when your taken unsuspecting to those rounds above your head.

If you are going to go to Mt. Carmel, and have never been, I recommend being polite if you should encounter anyone. But I can tell you from years of experience, they know people will come, and if like last year or in years past even when Clive was there, the gate will be open, and you likely will not be approached unless you are known to someone. They will watch from afar, let you take your pictures, walk around the outside of the Chapel, look at the different stuff around, and in truth there wont be much, even less now, as reports the Bus has been removed, the old Motorcycle as well. It will just be a pond to your immediate left upon driving through the gates, if you should venture near the pond, be careful for snakes, Clive once told me it was reported to have water moccasins and then as you look beyond the pond you will see an orchid, beyond the orchid a small chapel.

Still at the entrance…the new chapel off in the distance…imediately
To the right will be a large Tree or two, and a small building which used to be the Mt. Carmel Museum. I am told it is Charles Pace’s “wellness center” now, where he practices his business of Massage therapy. Last year to the right of the Chapel was a small Goat flock, they may or may not be there. Mostly what overtakes one there is memories of something much larger, something both historic and tragic, to a few, something truly important on prophetic levels, but to many the quiet prarie winds, mingled with the memories of that fateful timeframe is indeed spiritial to say the least.

If you are planning to go to pay homage in memorial this year, I reccomend you call Clive in advance, to announce your intentions that he may arrange accomadations suitable, and provide you with the info you need to make your own accomadations as well.
His number is 254-714-0115. He can best be reached in the evenings during the week. I reccomend leaving a message if you get his answering machine.

“A THIEF!!! A THIEF IN OUR MIDSTS!”

ok, this study was given between August and October sometime in 2008, and not on the Mt. Carmel DB.  At least I don’t recall it being
posted there, though a link to it likely was.
The intro here sets the stage, and I know this came after the timeframe in which the “Untimely Figs” study
was re-posted for emphasis.  Shortly after in fact, and the intro here details how I first came to conduct
Sabbath studies, you may find such entertaining, and thats ok.

INTRO:

 “A THIEF!!!
 A THIEF IN OUR MIDSTS!!!”

There was a time, when on Sabbath, I refused to do anything, I mean anything, answer phone, eat, I would sleep and goto the bathroom.  As time passed, I began to conduct ministerial duties in the timeframe.

Last night, I noted in the Sabbath Greeting how clean my house was this week.  I made a joke on the phone last night with my mother of the same issue, alluding to the movie “Field of Dreams” as I commented that after living here in this house (very bad neigborhood, very small house) I could name every person who has come inside to visit me since I have been here, noting how rarely I have company, and said jokingly…”If you clean it…they will come.”

Today they did. I was surprised, pleasantly I may add.  Surprise for me, is a treat sometimes, you see, I so often watch events unfold with a certain degree of expectancy, so that very little surprises me these days.  Well, that’s not exactly true, I still am awed when a hurricane, or earthquake or some event of great magnitude occurs after I have at the command of the Spirit spoke of it to come both prior to occurance and publicly.  Watching that occur is a kind of “I KNEW IT!” type of surprise, I mean you almost want to ask “Did that actually just happen.”
The first Sabbath Studies I held were in my home at 3302 Jupiter Drive in Fayetteville NC, 6 or 7 years ago.  The topic then, as it is so often addressed still, was many times the rapture doctrine, and the fact that the Seven Seals have been opened for quite some time.  Many times I would show people the fulfillment of 9/11 from scripture as a means of introduction, using Revelations 18, to show present (Then) application of scripture, to lead into disucussions of the person of David Koresh and the topic of the Seven Seals.

I didn’t canvas, I didn’t solicit people to come, but I would be told days in advance sometimes, to prepare a study, to get my clean enough for company, and that He would bring them.
Without fail, he did. Sometimes it was friends, sometimes family, but on more notable occaisions in my memory, and quite a few occaisions, total strangers would come knocking unexpectedly, and we would have a Bible study. I only remember one occasion that lasted less than 15 minutes and two when the people just decided they were in the “wrong place” and left.  Most lasted at least a half hour, to an hour, about what you would expect to spend in any traditional church in the land.  And on a couple of occasions, people returned to visit again and carry on the discussions in further detail, mind you, I am talking about TOTAL STRANGERS COMING TO KNOCK ON MY DOOR.

In one of the Sabbath Studies on “America in Prophecy” I note one named “FRED,” in my address of the Rapture doctrine and the topic of America in Nahum.

I was told this week to preach from the book of Luke for the Sabbath Study.  I wasn’t expecting anyone to come to my door.
Last December, I was told to walk to a church which is 16 miles away and call for revival. I did what I was told, 16 there, 16 back. OH, I was offered a ride home, but on the way there I had been instructed to in emphasizing the point that God was trying to make to “…WALK IT HOME.” So I did.  It was cold, moreso on the way home than there.

The church I visited would be the same church I was Licensed to preach in so many years ago. 1988 I recall.  Different pastor, and only a very, very few of the congregation that was there when I was there, though they had a nice crowd, enough to fill a little more than half the parkiing lot.  I stood outside that building for an hour before services began repeating one phrase, like a chant “God send us Revival” refusing to break cadence, and chanting out loud.

They must have thought I was crazy as hell.  Yeah, well I get that sometimes.  I did what I was told.  I went inside to attend service, I stopped chanting.

On the way there, I chanted every step of the way, and God illustrated to me, that that activity, which I knew wasn’t prayer, was the equivalent of what most “Christians” offer to him as prayer.  The make a wish list, chant it repeatedly until they wear themselves out, and fail many times to hear him when he actually responds to their efforts.  God to many, sadly, is an idea, a notion, an intangible force.

While it may be that with people,  that husbands and wives sometimes to their own detriment chant endlessly at their spouse, They (people…you, me)  don’t speak to thier friends that way. If they chanted endlessly to the friends they wouldn’t have any.  Earlier this week I addressed the topic of “Speaking to God” in the thread “ON HEARING GOD;” communication is a two way street.  Unfortunately many think that street with God has  a northbound lane which only says endlessly “I want, I want, I need, I need” and a southbound lane which only says “Here ya’ go” or “No.”

God is my friend, and I talk to him like I do my friends.  That requires active conversation, listening, analytical evaluation…”HEARING,”  at least recieving the information of the other party.  As I walked to that Church last year, I was told that the way “Christians” treat God, is no better than the way they treat each other, or the lost, no better than the way they treat humans.  With many, the empasis is all about numbers, surface appearances, and there is no true concern for souls, lost saved or otherwise. They care about changing the statistics on a board on a wall, and place more emphasis on people accepting thier doctrines, than feeding widows, helping the poor, and I don’t fault them for it, it seems to be part of the human condition.  Still it makes you wonder in a land where separation of  Church and State has been hailed at the highest levels of institution,  aside from the quaint little sayings on billboards outside thier buildings, and the common steeple or occaisional cross,….how can you tell the difference.  I mean Bill Clinton rode a high horse in April of 1993, a week after Mt. Carmel had burned to the ground, a week after a U.S. Military led, Delta Force Supervised, ATF initiated, FBI maintained assualt was conducted using TANKS, and MILITARY HELICOPTERS against it’s own citizens on US Soil for the first time in History…Bill Clinton, made a statement to the effect that “this is a sad display as we witness what happens when people join cults in this country.”

Do you get that?  Do you realize the moral high ground he took, to condemn people of faith for following the same, as he further demonized them in defence of his position to take a Moral High Ground and affiliate himself by implication to the “Moral Right” those in political “Christiandom.”  And churches, and preachers across this nation got over their sadness and said….”amen.”
Wonder what they said when Clinton redefined “Blow Job.”  I didn’t see any tanks sent to his house, but then I didn’t quite see Nahum in that timeframe either.

Today, there was a knock at my door.  It was Fred, the last I time I seen him was at the Church I was told to walk to last December.  I was told in the Spirit last December that Fred and the Pastor would come to my house, and that I would address the Rapture Doctrine with Fred in further detail.  Today that happened.  Turns out Fred wasn’t here at my house intentionally of his own design.  Though God knew.  Fred was here “Soulwinning.”  He quickly tried to dismiss himself.  Told me he didn’t want to waste any time, I told him cynically “I don’t want to be a waste of your time.”

I did to get to address the passage of I Corinthians 15:51, and 52, and I did get to tell Fred and his partner, whom I asked emphatically “IS HE THE PASTOR” to be told  “NO”….that the seals of Revelations were not “GOING TO BE” opened, but had already been and are in the process of “BEING” opened.   I told them that just last year, I finally got proof after 13 years, that a lie was used to have me committed in 1995, that I was locked up due to my Visions, and the doctrine I was teaching and it’s emphasis on Waco and the Branch Davidians, and that often others who would be willing to accept me as psychic having witnessed so many events foretold them in advance come to pass, reduce me to that of a basketcase when I began to speak that unnerving truth, the realization of just exactly where we actually are in God’s prophetic timeline.  Fred listened reluctantly  but cordially, and with a smile on his face.  And if he sensed any negative overtones of my person towards himself, well I confess that for a moment, I actually thought he came to see me, but it was quickly revealed to me, by Fred, that he had no idea who was on the other side of that door when he knocked, and revealed to by God, just why Fred was here, that God had brought him both in fulfillment of that I was told last December during the cold 16 mile walk home, and to bring to Fred and Simeon’s attentions a passage of scripture, and in that passage…a single jot…a comma which indicates the thought is not complete, and points to an event…”AT THE LAST TRUMP.”

Sensing Fred’s Reluctance, I gave them the opportunity to leave, telling them to come back and visit when they actually had time to “come see me.”  Ten minutes later, the pastor stood before me in my yard.  Trailing behind Fred and Simeon to knock every other house, I sat on my steps and as he passed, I told him…”I walked 16 miles to your Church from this very house, every step of the way.”  He couldn’t hear me over the “hood music” of neighboring houses, and approached me to inquire, I repeated what I said, He smiled, said…”oh really…what’s your name.”

Hmmm…what’s my name, once it was written on a visitor’s card, you think it would have been important beyond the measure of form and rhetoric.  I told him my name, called to his attention a past coversation, not noting it verbatim, but repeating it’s contents, to inquire if he related to an evangelist with the same last name, the same question I opened our last conversation with, a phone conversation in January or February of 2008.   You see, I  came one day in that timeframe to find a tract on my door from that church, with a message written and signed by one with the same last name.

I called the pastor of that church, as I had been told of the Spirit he would visit my house, and I told him I regretted missing his visit.  He told me he had not visited, and I found that it was actually his brother who visited.  I made a joke to the effect of “oh…I see your brother is a brother!”   I recall him responding “Your a bright devil” but concede I may have misuderstood him, and if not, well he offered it casually as if it were a common phrase to him and perhaps not with any intent of malice.  I don’t recall telling him God told me he would be by, though I may have, I just don’t recall it now.  But I do recall being told again he would be by, told of the Spirit.

I do recall inviting him over to visit, and that perhaps we could have a Bible Study. Prior to today, that never occurred, and today, as far as any intent of consciouslly visiting “Steve Crider” with forethought, well, as Far as he was concerned, I think perhaps such never entered his mind, though God had different plans, and I think this whole affair re-affirms the need in this land, even with Freedom Baptist Church at 2115 Middle Road, Fayetteville NC, 28312….the need for a true, God sent….”REVIVAL.”

I told Pastor Worley in that phone call, I had walked every step of the way to his church.  I wonder if he grasped today, as I told him again, I WALKED 16 miles to visit his church…and now…about 9 months later he only just now made the effort to visit me, and then, that effort was only a conscious one on his part for about 20 to 40 steps.  I wonder Pastor Worley, when you pray revival in the land, when you pray for results in your church later on, I wonder Pastor Worley….how far did you walk today?
If I compelled you to walk with me one more mile….would you go with me two?   Next time you visit, bring your tennis shoes, before you dismiss this entire event, answer just one question…”Do you really want Revival?”

But before you ask, keep in mind, you may get an answer you don’t want to face, true Revival, may mean letting go of that which is in need of repair, for that which repair would offer.  Doctrines…are profittable for reproof.

And now Mt. Carmel, this brings us to our Sabbath Study, and this one will be a short one, as this post above has served as the introduction.  We look today at the subject of    “A THIEF IN THE NIGHT,”  and we visit passages in Luke.  I assure you, there is a point in this study often overlooked.  To all who come truly seeking the righteousness of YHWH, and his truth, may you be blessed, and to those with ears to hear…let them hear, to those with eyes to see, let them see….

“A THIEF!”

“…A Thief IN OUR MIDSTS”

Considering the introduction, today’s study will be conducted in the Baptist Style of sermon, emphasizing a point by a series of mini-points building to an apex, using portions of scripture taken from independant passages of the Scriptures to drive home a lesson.  I warn you that such practice is dangerous as it leaves room for those who would take things out of proper context to convey ideas which are both spiritially dangerous and against the actuall teachings of the holy scriptures.  This is not to say such practice ”ALWAYS” committ such, but notes that it often does, usually in the promotion of doctrines which are emphasized above the actuall truth.  Scripture denotes that doctrines at times come in need of revision, that they are “profittable for reproof, for instruction in righteousness.”  So often, many assume this reproof is to those to whom such doctrines are actually being preached as opposed to the reproof being applied to the doctrines themselves.  But as we consider that it was Paul, whom God used to pen such words

(2 Timothy chp 2)
“… charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

(2 Timothy chp 3)

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

SUBVERT
Pronunciation:
\səb-ˈvərt\
Function:
transitive verb
Etymology:
Middle English, from Anglo-French subvertir, from Latin subvertere, literally, to turn from beneath, from sub- + vertere to turn — more at worth
Date:
14th century

Paul here in the timeframe just after Christ (Annointed one) Yeshua has ministered on earth and been murdered via the tool of state execution, is giving instruction to Timothy. In Chapter one, we see Paul notes those whom Timothy considers Faithfull men, to put them in remembrance, to counsel them about their use of words, of Scripture as they lead others that their words were not to be of no profit, that they were to be to the subverting to the hearers.  Lets examine the definition of this word Subvert and look at in context of Paul’s preaching and experience:

1 : to overturn or overthrow from the foundation : ruin 2 : to pervert or corrupt by an undermining of morals, allegiance, or faith
Those doctrines had sewn perversion of the truth, but were the established dogma and needed to be overthrown at their foundations in order to bring others to the truth.  Paul counsels Timothy to Shun Vain and Profane Babblings.  I cite to you that the promotion of false doctrine, is a promotion of vain babblings, there is no profit in them, only waste.  I cite that for those coming to the truth, and then to continue in promoting such false teachings, is a profanity against  Heaven.  And while no where in scripture are we commanded not to say that such is Bullshit.
As we are afforded the luxury of use of the word Bullshit, it’s use, while not noted dogmatically as a sin, is discouraged.  We Know it is profane, and we are encouraged to shun it, but we now know that to continue in promotion of doctrines we know to be fallicy, is also, when knowing better profanity, and very best in ignorance a “vain babbling” and we are encouraged to shun such, as it leads to more ungodliness.

REPROOF
Pronunciation:
\ri-ˈprüf\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Middle English repref, reprofe, from Anglo-French reproefe, from reprover
Date:
14th century

: criticism for a fault : rebuke

DOCTRINE
Pronunciation:
\ˈdäk-trən\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Middle English, from Anglo-French & Latin; Anglo-French, from Latin doctrina, from doctor

Now we know that Scripture is profittable for Doctrine, and For Reproof, in the instruction of righteousness as well as for the instruction of righteousness.  We know the Christ Yeshua challenged the very Doctrinal postions of the Pharisees. Christ did not denounce Scripture, nor the same doctrines he Challenged, He denounced their applications by the Pharissees, the Sadducees, noting that they had lost sight of the origins of intent in those same doctrines, and that their mainstream presentation in his day was perverse and in need of correction.  To place reproof in action, one must “REPROVE.”

REPROVE
Pronunciation:
\ri-ˈprüv\
Function:
verb
Inflected Form(s):
re·proved; re·prov·ing
Etymology:
Middle English repreven, reproven, from Anglo-French reprover, from Late Latin reprobare to disapprove, condemn, from Latin re- + probare to test, approve — more at prove
Date:
14th century

transitive verb1: to scold or correct usually gently or with kindly intent2: to express disapproval of : censure <it is not for me to reprove popular taste — D. W. Brogan>3obsolete : disprove , refute4obsolete : convince , convictintransitive verb: to express rebuke or reproof

We see this in action in Luke, as Christ Yeshua speaks in Chapter 12:

1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Notice in verse one Christ warns of “THE LEAVEN OF THE PHARISEE’s” and points to thier “Hypocrisy.”  Now Christ did not deny the scriptures
they used in thier teachings, nor the doctrines whose origins were true and extablished in previous generations by the Spirit of God through his servants.  Christ Yeshua warns however of the “LEAVEN” of the Pharisee’s you see, they had ingredients which were true, but that cake they were baking and feeding the people, was using a leavening agent of blasphemy, and such is the root of thier hypocrisy, having been exposed to so much truth only to deny it when it stood before them, and then to continue using the scriptures in displays of Abomination.

This process was not new in the days of Christ Yeshua, it is not new to us.  We see David Koresh preaching from the Prohpecies of Ben Roden, Ben Roden preaching from Victor Houteff, Victor Houteff Preaching from Ellen White, Ellen White preaching from William Miller,  and all preaching from the prophecies of Yeshua, and Christ Yeshua preaching from Daniel, And Daniel from Jeremiah, and all dealing with similiar concerns in thier day, each contending with established lies and hypocrisy resting upon use of scripture to tout thier abominable heresies as holy truths sent of heaven, sent by God, YHWH the living God.  We see Jeremiah, allude to this long before Christ Yeshua would do the same…

Surely, our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.” (Jer. 16:19.)

So now as we proceed to our topic, we note the most commonly taught illustrations of a “thief” in the Bible are the thief on the cross who spoke to Yeshua asking him to remember him when he enters into his kingdom. And we see so often, hear so often, Christ described and quoted by his own Prophecy recorded in scripture to return as “A thief in the Night.”  Now remember, I told you I was going to point to an aspect of this, which is commonly overlooked, and I will, for some perhaps several, but we start here, with that prophecy.

Let’s look again at Luke Chapter 12, a little further down

36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

and so we see here, Christ alludes to a point which should address an proper attitude in understanding his prophecy to return.  The aspect in which so many look to the skies, with hopes of a raptural event which would take them to that grand amusement park in the sky, as the gleefully pray for such events ignoring the plight of the wicked as they pray for such an event, knowing full well by thier own doctrines that such fulfillment is a time of great darkness to those who inhabit the earth, and in praying such, earn themselves…WOE, as it was promised in Scripture to those who would desire the day of the Lord. (Amos 5:18).

This improper attitude alone should indicate to those who express such, that they do not understand the scriptures, they do not possess the truth of the prophetic teachings of the Bible.  Yet they persist in praying for thier “Rapture,” not understanding that which they pray for, nor the abomination of hatred displayed by thier hearts in so praying.  If they would only read Amos 5:18, perhaps a whisper to the truth would attach to thier ears.

The very nature that the mainstream Rapture doctrine in all it’s popularity is so widely embraced would indicate one of two things, either,
if such teaching and it’s embracement is true, that Christ is a very poor thief, or the teaching is incorrect, and the scripture upon which it draws inspiration is misunderstood.  Here, in the above passage, we see if the Goodman of the house had known the tactics of the thief, he would have been ready.   I live in the hood, the possibility of getting robbed here is always present.  You just never know, but you expect here, and you act accordingly such a potential threat is believable.  I have two Dogs, Boxer Mastiffs, one very very large.  My dogs are trained, one, very well and in English, Chinese and hand Signals.  I display such training to my neighbors and other onlookers when I take him for a walk, letting them understand his potential, and his role as a bodyguard.  I often leave him in charge of my possessions, and when he is in the yard, a 5foot reptile, with claws, the ability to climb like a cat, and the potential aggressiveness of a sidewinder, Shaggy, my Iguana, roams free in my home, at all times…those few neighbors who have visited, are nervously aware of such.  Years ago, I kept a snake as a pet for security reasons in another bad area I lived in.  It only takes one visit from a neighbor, with the snake not in his tank, and upon inquiry to his whereabouts announcing…”oh, he’s around here somewhere…” to secure results.
I purposefully have trained Kung Fu in my yard at some times, busting cinderblocks with my bare hands to send a message to would be assailants of my person.  The point is, I have lived in bad neigborhoods, You expect trouble, you prepare for it.  It  may never come, and that is a desirable outcome, still you prepare.

Now with the whole world embracing the notion that Jesus is coming back in the sky and all the Christians are going to simply disappear before this great time of trouble to come upon the world, you gotta wonder, what kind of thief tips his hand so soon, so obviously.  I mean, if he was coming while others were aware, and he would still take his spoil, he would be more of a conqueror than a thief, so you would think.
Doesn’t stand to reason, that perhaps that passage is misunderstood then?

I mean in actuality, did not Christ come like a thief 2000 years ago?  I mean you had an entire nation of Hebrews, with Scriptures and prophetic teachings handed down for generations, and generations…they were so close in thier interpretation, that their expectations stirred Herod to slay every male child in the land under 2 years old, yet they failed to recognize the event as it happened before their very eyes, and they nailed him to a cross.  Here they are waiting for thier king, and when he shows…they murder him.  Sounds like they kinda got caught unaware to  me.

To matters of accountability we see in Peter, a prudent Inquiry, and in reply, Yeheshua, offers again a glimpse of the future as well as counsel to those in his present timeframe when the statement is recorded to have been made, alluding to the fact that the world could not see what was so plainly occuring before their very eyes:

41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

You know someone made a statement in my presence once, that struck a nerve, made me examine my life.  I was not leading a desirable life at the time.  And this was a martial arts instructor who was carrying on a conversation with another in my presence as I was in his school considering joining when the statement was made.  I never went back and joined, but that conversation was a lesson I carry still.  Whether it was for my benefit or not, I don’t know, but it served so.  They were talking about an encounter one had elsewhere with an undesirable person.
They described an individual who was a “NOT SO–Bad Guy.”  Then the term was defined in my presence.

You know what a “Not So-Bad Guy” is?  It’s not the guy who will shoot up your car while your kids are inside, but it is his buddy who will stand by and watch him.  HE is not really the Bad guy, and he certainly is not the good guy, he is a “Not So-Bad Guy.”

To these in attendance, Christ Yeshua, notes that Good servant to whom will be given dominion in his Lord’s kingdom, likewise the Wicked, and the “Not So-Wicked” and the attitude of those who say, “oh he’s not coming yet…” those who would be wrong, who would get caught unaware, and be held in accountability, some moreso than others.  Then he points out the obvious, that they, who can tell the weather…hmm, that’s interesting considering recent events…they who could tell the face of events in the sky and upon the earth could not decipher what was happening before their very eyes, whose presence they were standing in, and then he asks a most important question…

57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Christ asks them….”WHY DON’T YOU JUDGE WHAT IS RIGHT?”  but his question is rhetorical, as he has been trying to tell them the whole time
that “YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT!” Yeshua is trying to bring them to truth, to know they don’t know Right from wrong.  They are like children who cannot discern their left hand from their right.

Now Peter is so moved by this experience, and later by the Holy Ghost that we see him draw reference to it in speaking of prophecies of Malachi Chapter 4  and former prophets when writing his Epistle:

King James Version: 2 Peter Chapter 3

1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

AMOS 5
17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.
18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

sub·vert·er noun

Now having an awareness of Pauls teachings on personal holiness, we can assume that his intent was not to pervert or corrupt others.  However, the early Christians, were comprised mostly of Jews, even though the ministry was to, and did and would reach gentiles.
There was in place the established dogma, the doctrine of the land, the doctrine of generations, handed down by tradition to various groups with thier own differences between them, nonetheless, the established hierarchy during the time of Yeshua, the doctrine of the Pharisees, Scribes and Saducees.  Christ Yeshua himself challenged the established doctrines of his day; he was not well recieved for his teaching of the truth.  The same doctrines came from somewhere, obviously in thier roots, at their origin they were applicable to the generations to whom they were given, and given in righteousness.  By the time of Christ however, the same doctrines he challenged were so far off base from their intent that they had to be addressed openly, challenged by the Son of God, here on earth, in the flesh.

“A City Coming Down”

Note: This was originally placed as a study on the Mt. Carmel Discussion Board.  It is a study “in progress” detailing a conversation held in September on the DB between Blinky and myself.  Blink usually writes in ALL CAPS AND IS THEREFORE A LITTLE MORE EASILY DISTINGUISHABLE when reading to know who is speaking, Blinky or myself.  Likewise, each letter is preceded by the original timestamp used on the Mt. Carmel DB to note a new author.

“And I saw A city Coming

 Down…”

A Reply to Blinky: The Correlation of Zecheriah 14 to Revelations 21/”NEW JERUSALEM”

This reply is a study in and of itself of the city of New Jerusalem.  It arises as an extension of the Sabbath Study on September 6, 2008:

A different kind of Sabbath Study: “Sukkoth”

-Posted by Steve (Billy Steven Crider) on September 6, 2008, 11:06 am

in answer to questions posed by, and observations noted by Blinky into the same study, one which dealt with the Feast Tabernacles, and sought to gain a better grasp of Sukkoth, as celebrated by Modern Jews in correlation to it’s orgins in Scripture.  The Thread to that Sabbath Study Begins here: http://members5.boardhost.com/mtcarmel/msg/1220717160.html

Blinky’s first response is Here:

http://members5.boardhost.com/mtcarmel/msg/1220722365.html

It is this response which prompted a more detailed discussion of the topic of the New Jerusalem as it applies to the Feast of Tabernacles.

In the post above, Blinky sought to Establish that in the Kingdom of God, the Temple would be re-established, Priests would offer again Daily Sacrifices before the Lord, and God would dwell in the Holy of Holies.   I can see the logic behind such, but Scripture both in Revelations 21, notes that GOD will DWELL WITH MEN at that timeframe, and while the same chapter notes his Tabernacle is “WITH MEN” it later also notes that There is no Temple seen in the city of New Jerusalem as “The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.”  Now Blinky ascribed Zecheriah 14 to these ideas he presented.  But Even Zechariah notes in Chapter 14, YHWH standing not in the Holy of Holies but upon the Mount of Olives, and going on to be crowned as a King in the earth, Physically.   I thought to answer that response by Blink in a single post, touching lightly on the correlation between the New Jerusalem as seen in Zecheriah 14 in Parallell to that of the New Jerusalem seen in Revelations 21, but did not succeed, and did not allude to the amount of details into the matter at that time, which I later would.  I tried to explain briefly that there are TWO Jerusalems Mentioned in Zechariah 14, and the first, (current) may likely practice again animal sacrifice, but the New Jerusalem would not do so.  I later in this discussion presented here note why.  While that attempt to address the Two Jerusalems of Zecheriah 14, more specifically the New Jerusalem, here http://members5.boardhost.com/mtcarmel/msg/1220744465.html Blinky noted his interest sparked, and continued to express his understanding at that time of the passage of Zechariah 14, and alluding the differences in his understanding between Zechariah 14 and Revelaitions 21…to a teaching of the Millenial reign of Christ.

The following is the result of that discussion which ensued from Blinky’s second post into the topic to this timeframe.

I have Published it at this address: http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddh48qj_70wmvfwmdq

Blinky,

nevermind, I may email you of it later, but for now, I don’t think it needs to be addressed here. I will re-read Zecheriah 14, and note Clive in Speaking on the City on Zion, called it the New Jerusalem, and Contended with me when I offered there is no temple there. He told me that I was not referencing the new Jerusalem, but the new earth, the city in Revelations 21, is indeed called THE NEW JERUSALEM, but I did not contend the point further with Clive at the Sabbath study.
Clive noted that the City of The New Jerusalem will come down to rest on Mt Zion, as per Zecheriah, either there are two cities, or that city will leave and return at a time when there is no temple in it, or there never was a temple in it, I will have to research the matter. It is entirely possible there is an alter and no temple. I can only concede at this point that I need to study the matter out, But I am certain of what Revelations 21 offers of the City, and it states quite plainly there is no temple there.

I consider now the Genesis Study, and that there are TWO SEPARATE CREATION ACCOUNTS, ….this is not two tellings of the same event, this is TWO Individual, unique, although highly similiar events.

Follow the bird,

…and the day of his creation…you will see this plainly when comparing the details.

The city in the land of Eden, in Genesis 2, is strikingly similiar to that of the New Jerusalem in Revelations 21. Both have a tree of life, both have a river proceeding from them, they may well be the same city.
Okay…Blinky, I ended up studying this matter out to address your concerns here, just finished it as a matter of fact, likewise now it seems I can address the conversation I began with Clive in April. And it turns out, the matter is as I said it was, both to you here on this board today, and to Clive in April. Here is the answers to the issues you posed in your post here:
http://members5.boardhost.com/mtcarmel/msg/1220744465.html

In which you allude that Zecheriah indicates a temple in the New Jerusalem. I assure you, there is not, and by the time you finish this post, hopefully it will become clearer. I do see however, how you took the passage of Zecheriah 14 into the context in which you did, again, I was noting a broader context as well, to include the references to the city in Revealations 21.

The City and Earth in Revelations 21, have no night, no day….but they have light, THE LIGHT is THE LIGHT OF GOD, much like the first 3 days of Genesis 1, before the fourth day when the Sun and the Moon and the Stars are created.

I have delved into this much more in detail with Wendi in personal studies than here on this Board, but I allude that Genesis 2 the world, is at the same place as Revelations 21, with no sea, In Genesis one, the creator there is Christ, after having been given his new Kingdom. The counsel of “Let Us Create Man in Our Image” is the Father/Mother counsel to Christ, guiding him, as in Revelations 21, The alpha and omega makes a declaration…“BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW” now he has the power to make green men with antennas, and Women with 4 arms…whatever he wants, He is after all sitting on the throne, and God, well, he is dwelling with Men at that timeframe. The counsel is from one(s) with experience to one newly performing a task.

Something that is often overlooked in Revelations, the kingdoms of this world, are not given to single individual…they are given to TWO individuals….to “OUR LORD AND   HIS   CHRIST
to Our Lord, and His annointed one….
There is a mystery here, I can show you, but not in a single post, nor study for that matter.

It is the Mystery of the Generations of God, contained within the Genereations of the Heavens and the earth. Generations being Plural.
Note that the world in Genesis 2, is not created in 7 days, but rather in a SINGLE DAY. And contained in that single day, is the seven day creation.

It has been a while since I have addressed this with anyone, but Revelations 21, is not THE END…it is indeed THE BEGINNING.

As to feast days:

“According to Deut 16:16, “three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God”, the three occasions being the three major feasts of Passover (Luke 22:1), Pentecost (Acts 2:1) and Tabernacles. Tabernacles was the major festival in the Temple era following Pentecost and was often known simply as “the Feast” (for example 1Kgs 8:2; Ezek 45:25; Neh 8:14; and commonly in the Talmud). Josephus calls it “the holiest and greatest feast” (Ant 8.100).” (1)
“Sukkoth, or The Feast of Tabernacles, was celebrated on the 15th of Tishri, the seventh month, as a “feast of the Lord” to give thanks for the produce of the land. On the first day of this eight-day festival, pilgrims brought the ripened tree fruit to the Temple. Lev 23:40 commands: “You shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees (LXX karpo.n xu,lou w`rai/on), branches of palm trees, and boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days”. (1)

******************************************************************

Blinky,

There is a Mystery here, tying Zecheriah 14, to Revelations 21.
Before you can even begin to see this, you must understand that Zecheriah 14, is not “The New Beginning” Nor is Revelations 21…”THE END”… rather Reveleations 21, is “the New Beginning” and correlates to the world of Genesis 2, having no more sea, in comparison to a world in which all creatures are made “from the dust of the earth” quite opposite from than those in Genesis one, in which many including the fowl of the air of “that creation” (Gen 1) are formed from the firmaments, the water. Clearly two different creations of earth…not two accounts of the same event, but two entirely different events.
The Jerusalem in Zecheriah 14:2 is not “The NEW Jerusalem,” Though we do see the New Jerusalem in Zecheriah 14.
Note it shall “be taken and the houses rifeled, and the women ravished;

and half of the city shall go forth into captivity.”
Then in verse 4 we see a great quake witnessed by those on the Mount of Olives. I stated earlier about the new Jerusalem coming down to rest on Mt Zion. That Jerusalem, shall not have a temple, it is that Jerusalem of earthly origin, taken captive, prior to the quake in which there will be a temple. **
There will be a new MT ZION formed by the results of the quake, upon which the Comes down from heaven and there the NEW JERUSALEM SITS.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains

shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake

in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Note the feast in Zecheriah is that of Tabenacles. The topic of our Sabbath study. But our point here, is to tie Zecheriah 14 to Revelaitons 21. So…

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold,

the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and

they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

“BEHOLD, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD IS WITH MEN” this is our first clue. You alluded to the notion of animal sacrifices, and to the prescence of a temple in Zecheriah 14 with references to the new Jerusalem.
There were several different offerings and sacrifices during the feast of Tabernacles….

“These same Psalms were recited on every day of Tabernacles, the feast at which ripe fruit was brought to the Temple by pilgrims, and at which those pilgrims entered the Temple via the Ripe Gate. For this reason, these Psalms are one possible filter through which the healing of the cripple can be read and interpreted. ” (1)

“example, John 13:29). At festivals, thank-offerings were obligatory: Those attending “shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed” (Deut 16:16). And further, “every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which he has given you” (16:17). In addition, the “sojourners, the fatherless, and the widows” were to be included in the festival (16:14). Therefore, a beggar could especially expect alms from those going to the Temple during a festival such as Tabernacles.
Peter and John are expected to have thank-offerings with them and they are expected to give alms. But they claim to have no “silver or gold”. Dunn thinks that this “representation of apostolic poverty is partly at least a story-telling device”.21 Others relate the reference to silver and gold to idol-worship, or think it must be understood on the background of 2:44-45, or, as evidence that the apostles’ power has nothing to do with money, a common motif in Acts.22 However, it is also possible that Peter is saying that he does not have the offering that festival pilgrims were expected to make. Beth Shammai held that the pilgrimage offering must be worth at least two pieces of silver and the festal offering at least one ma’ah of silver. Beth Hillel said that the pilgrimage offering must be worth one ma’ah of silver and the offering two pieces of silver (Hag 2a). If Peter is referring to this offering, then why does he not have the obligatory “silver and gold” as he goes into the Temple?23
At the anticipated ideal Feast of Tabernacles, everything in Jerusalem will be holy and there will be no more traders in the Temple (Zech 14:20-21). Significantly, Zechariah 14, was the hafterah read on the first day of Tabernacles (Meg 31a), Does the Peter of Acts 3 believe that such a time and such a celebration of the Feast have arrived? That this might be the case is implied in what he offers the man and in what follows.

Instead of giving him silver and gold, Peter says: “In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraios,24 walk!” (evn tw/| ovna, mti vIhsou/ Cristou/ tou/ Nazwrai,ou, peripa, tei, 3:625). It is tempting to suggest that Luke is playing with the word Nazwrai,oj as a pun on the “ripe” (w`rai,oj) gate. Be that as it may, this exact combination of words is found again in Acts only in this same context (4:10). ” (1)

There is a daily Sin offering kept in the feast of Tabernacles, in this world, in this earth.
The kingdom of God, shall be established in the end of this earth age as it passes away, to herald a new beginning.
Note there is a light, “IN THE EVENING” Zecheriah 14:6,7, one which is to that of the light offered in the first 3 days of our earths history, prior to the creation of the Sun and the Moon and the Stars. This light, eminates from

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
but it is not dark either, this occurs after the dust begins to settle on the Day of the Lord, at the end of the day, in the evening, as the day itself is one which is a day of darkness in which there is no light in it, Darkness begins to fade in the latter at the end of that day, in the new beginning, at the evening when it is supposed to be dark, on a day when it has been dark when it should have been light, in that evening, it is light…where does the light come from?
It comes from the new Jerusalem, whose light in oppositon to the condition of the world IS CLEAR AS CRYSTAL.

Revelations 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like

unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

It comes from the new Jerusalem, whose light in oppositon to the condition of the world IS CLEAR AS CRYSTAL.

Revelations 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Now The Feast of Tabernacles does last for 7 days, IN JERUSALEM, but it lasts for 8 days to those celebrating Outside Jerusalem.
Now you have to read Zecheriah 14 more carefully, to see, there are no alters in the New Jerusalem, for that matter there are not any Canannites there either. First though, look at this correlating passage:

Revelations 21
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Now you see, there will be no temple there, but as you no doubt still struggle to place this into context, yet are almost there, connect the dots…
There will be no night in this city, it will shed light to the remaining world, it’s light, unlike that of the world, will be clear, and the world will look to the New Jerusalem for light, and sustenance, as a river will flow from it, likewise as you noted, a penalty for those who do not go to pay their respects. See verse 25 and 26 in Rev 21. Now…look at verse 27, this places the perspective of Zecheriah 14 into context as to the temple, and there being no temple in the New Jerusalem. You see, sin will not be allowed to enter into that city, nor those harboring such.

Look again to the verses in Zecheriah which you referenced, those latter verses you noted:

Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth,

neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:
Zecheriah 14:21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts:

hold on, were getting there…you see, no sin, the whole world will not go up to Jerusalem, but of those who dont go, all will not be in violation…as they will have representatives going in thier behalf…note more closely:

Zecheriah 14:
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto

Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

Emphasis here is on “OF ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH” keyword…on the first “OF”.
Now if nothing that defiles can enter into this city, who are these representatives?

go back to Revelations 21:

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever

worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

These representatives, are the saints who inherit the earth, who rule with the lamb.
And there will be those who are not saved, until after that kingdom is established. They will not be allowed into that city unclean.
NOW…RE-READ THOSE LATTER PORTIONS OF ZECHERIAH 14…nowhere does it say there is a temple, nor does it say there is an ALTAR in the city of THE NEW JERUSALEM. NOT AT ALL.

What is said is

….”the pots of the Lord’s house SHALL BE LIKE bowls before the altar.”
These Bowls as traditionally used in the Tabernacle of old, were not common items found in everyday homes…they were made of Gold if I recall correctly.
And these bowls were filled with water, with which was used for Cleansing of the priests…those who performed Sacrifices for others.
In Revelations, you see a set of Bowl Judgements. What is effectively taking place is those angels, holding the bowls of God’s in which God’s Annointed cleansed themselves of the duties of sacrifice for the sins of the people (these seven bowls belonging to the seven spirits before the throne, God’s Annointed), so after these priests have washed themselves in these bowls, you have the remanant, the filthy water, and the angels pouring them out, are effectively turning the sins of those who were forgiven back into the world upon those who rejected grace when it was offered to them. And that is another study, into the 8 spirits of God, but our focus is to the bowls as they apply more directly to Zecheriah and the NEW JERUSALEM.

So we note these ceremonial bowls to have been an uncommon item in the populous, so in Zecheriah 14,
what is being said here, is the very cooking pots, the common items of this city, will be holy, and will serve to cleanse those who come into this city. And who comes…we already established it is those representatives of the families of the earth, those who rule with the lamb, this includes the to allude to the ministry of the 144,000, this includes they which are written in the lambs book of life, those families of the great multitude saved as a result of the ministry of the 144,000 in service to the Lamb. These rulers, they are not defiled, they are writtten in the lambs book of life, this grants them access into the city, and to the pots of that city…as there are no ceremonial bowls, and there is not an alter, for there is no temple, the pots, in that city serve in place of the Bowls used in the traditional Feast of Tabernacles, the pots “SHALL BE LIKE BOWLS BEFORE THE ALTAR.”

There in that city, THE NEW JERUSALEM, is not anything that defiles. And there is NO SACRIFICE offered there, not from it’s residents, not within it’s boundaries.

NOTE ZECHERIAH 21 again:
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts:

and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein:
What is being said, is that these pots shall BE LIKE, Shall serve in the place of, in that city, bowls before the alter.
And it continues to say

“Those that Sacrifice SHALL COME and take of them”

These sacrifices you mention, are being made outside of The NEW Jerusalem, not within it’s boundaries, those who perform them, shall come to the city, to pay tribute, to honor he who sits upon the throne, To Honor the LORD, and while cleanse themselves in the bowls, they are not considered unclean of defiled so as not to be granted access, but rather as priests in Service to thier King.

You see, The New Jerusalem will be a place that offers healing to the world. Animal Sacrifice, requires Death, and death, is the curse created into the world by the fall of mankind in the land of Eden. You see, it started at the tree of life, and it heals there as well. That city in Revelations 21, correlates to the world in Genesis 2, it also, contains the tree of life, whose leaves offer healing to the nations of this world. (Rev 22:2) And in that city…well “THERE SHALL BE NO MORE CURSE” (Rev 22:3)
Moreover, as the pots, serve to in the New Jerusalem, “be like bowls before the alter” in effect replacing them, and much more commonly available, illustrating the abundance of YHWH’s Mercy, it is unclear what “Sacrifices” will be offered outside of that city. There will be after all, those converted to the truth after the re-esablishment of God’s Kingdom on the earth. These, do not change in a moment in the twinkling of an eye with those awaiting translation, or resurrection, but still walk in fleshen bodies, carrying within them thier sinful natures. Perhaps they instantly change as some notions suggest, but that is another study, for another time.

So there you have it, the correlation between Zecheriah 14, and Revelations 21.

It should be noted, all Males will be required to make the journey, whether Priest or not, and they will have had to have been cleansed prior to entering the city if they were not previously written into the lambs book of life, this would be those converts who come to the truth AFTER the establishment of the Kingdom.Such would be part of the reason perhaps for those who would not make the journey, and in essence denying themselves life giving rain.

STEVE ,WHAT I CAN’T HELP BUT NOTICE WHEN REVIEWING REVELATION 21 IS THAT THIS IS OCCURING AFTER THE 1000 YEAR MILLENIUM.AND I BELIEVE ZECHARIAH 14 IS OCCURING BEFORE THE 1000 MILLENIUM.

PERHAPS THIS IS THE CONFUSION AS TO THE VERSE ” , AND THOSE WHO SACRIFICE ,”

SEE , AT THIS TIME , THE DEVIL HAS BEEN TAKEN BY , PRESUMABLY , MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL AND A GREAT CHAIN HAS BEEN PUT UPON HIM , AND HE SHALL DECIEVE THE NATIONS NO LONGER FOR 1000 YEARS.

DURING THIS TIME PERIOD THE JEWS WILL BE FREE TO WORSHIP THE GOD OF THEIR FATHERS , EVEN THE LORD OF HOST , AS IN THE FORMER DAYS.

AND THEY WILL DO SO , UNTILL THE 1000 YEAR TIME PERIOD IS UP.

EZEKIAL 40-48 ELABORATES A LITTLE MORE ON MILLENIAL ISRAEL..

AS FOR THE NEW EARTH AND THE NEW HEAVENS , 2 PETER 3:10 STATES “THAT THE ELEMENTS SHALL MELT WITH A FERVENT HEAT AND THE FORMER THINGS SHALL PASS AWAY”.

AND AGAIN , ISAIAH 65:17 STATES THAT LORD JEHOVAH SHALL “CREATE A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH , AND THE FORMER THINGS SHALL NOT BE REMEMBERED.”

HOWEVER ISAIAH 66:22 ALSO STATES THAT “THE LORD SHALL MAKE A NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH.”

BUT , VERSE 21 DECLARES “AND i SHALL TAKE OF THEM LEVITES AND PRIEST.”

TO ME THESE SCRIPTURES INDICATE THE PRESENSE OF A MILLENIAL TEMPLE IN WHICH GOD’S HOLY PRIEST AND LEVITE’S SHALL MINISTER UNTO HIM.

AT LEAST UNTILL THE 1000 YR TIME PERIOD IS UP , AND LUCIFER IS UPON EARTH ONCE MORE. THEN HE WILL RE-GATHER GOG AND MAGOG LIKE THE DAYS BEFORE THE MILLENIUM (as wriiten in Ezekial 38-39) , AND SHALL MAKE WAR AGAINST JERUSALEM ONCE MORE.

AS FAR AS REVELATION 21 AND 2 PETER 3:10 GO , I SEE THIS AS A POSSIBLE REFERENCE TO THE NEXT GREAT ‘CATASTOPHY”.

MAYBE LIKE THE METEOR THAT CAUSED THE ICE AGE THAT KILLED THE DINOSAURS.

AFTER WHICH THERE WILL BE A “NEW GENESIS.”

THEN AT THAT TIME , , A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH SHALL BE CREATED.

AT LEAST THAT’S MY UNDERSTANDING. OF COURSE THEIR IS ALL WAYS ROOM FOR ENDLESS SPECULATION AND DIFFERENT OPINIONS.

Blinky,
I have examined the very passages you offer here, and upon closer examination they disagree with the point you try to make.  That you offer seems to allude to the blending of doctrines in effort to form an understanding.  While you finish by offering such is your understanding and there is always room for endless specualation and different opionions, such is true enough, but at some point one occaisionally runs into that which is undeniable, the truth.  And in so doing, specualtion ends.  You seem very familiar with mainstream doctrines of prophetic teaching, and very eager to understand how it all fits together.  Your zeal is commendable, and the fact that you recognize the importance of the events of 1993 in Waco, and the person and ministry of David Koresh as inspired by God indicates you are not totally blinded by the same mainstream doctrines of prophecy.

I should point to you however, that while your conversation seeks to take a commanding tone, you end by speaking of specualtion and just prior offer a statement filled with speculation to sum up your argument to my findings in this matter:

“AS FAR AS REVELATION 21 AND 2 PETER 3:10 GO , I SEE THIS AS A POSSIBLE REFERENCE TO THE NEXT GREAT ‘CATASTOPHY”.

Often, even in the more devout denominations in the churches of the world, a trait unique to those most zealous in the same congreations is a love for prophecy.  Unfortunately, for many, they never venture outside thier denomination to glimpse the actual truth of scriptures teachings on prophecy, and are confined to what is shimmers of the grand picture of prophetic truth, still magnonimous in thier positions, more than many in those congregations are willing to deal with.

IN your reply here you note two passages to offer that those who make sacrifices in Zecheriah 14, will do so in the New Jerusalem. I went through study into the matter to address to you already, and in so doing, your reply, dismisses such to my perhaps failing to understand the presence of the doctrine of the Millenial Reign, quite common in Pre-Trib Rapture groups, including the Independant Fundamental Baptists.  Such teaches a timeframe in which people who survive the tragic timeframe of tribulation will live under the reign of Christ in his Kingdom for 1000 years, if they accept him as Saviour.  Such also teaches that if they do not, they will die at 100 years old.

You offer that perhaps Zecheriah 14 is occurring before the 1000 year Millenial Reign, and that the timeframe of Revelations 21 occurs after the Millenial reign.  Well aside from the obvious that This city would have to come down, leave and come back again, or either God would establish his Kingdom, lose it, and win it again to fit into the logic of your assessment, the very passages you cite in Isaiah, state something totally opposite to your position that Sacrifices will be made in the New Jerusalem.  This is Simply Not So, and Scripture notes it, the very scripture you used to support such a statement.  Isaiah 65, points to a timeframe, which is commonly thought to be During that 1000 year Millenial Reign by the common teachings of such doctrine.  Indicated specifically by verses 18 thru 25.  Now while verses 16 and 17, seem to coincide with Revelations 21, which you note to be “After the 1000 year reign.”  My explanation offers that this event of Revelations 21, correlates to Zecheriah 14 to be the same timeframe, the same city.

It was Isaiah 16 which you chose to quote

AND AGAIN , ISAIAH 65:17 STATES THAT LORD JEHOVAH SHALL “CREATE A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH , AND THE FORMER THINGS SHALL NOT BE REMEMBERED.”
… Noting well the correlation to Revelations 21.

But what of Isaiah 65 and verses 20 and 25…does not verse 20 indicate an event commonly taught to occur during the 1000 year Reign of Christ by that doctrine?

20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that
hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the
sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

I am well familiar with the doctrine of the Millenial Reign.  It was taught in the church of my youth, it was taught at the Bible College I attended in the late 1980’s.  The event of Isaiah 65:20 is not from the old Genesis, nor some new, it is that which is commonly alluded to that doctrine of the Millenial Reign.  This passage in Isaiah 65, like Zecheriah 14, and Revelations 21, is discussion of the establishment of the Kingdom of God on Earth.  The Chronology of the doctrine you cite, would place as occuring before the event you note to occur in Isaiah 65:17.  And in Isaiah 65:20, we clearly see an event from that same teaching you cite, occuring after the establishment of the New Jerusalem.  So how then, is an event which is noted to occur during the timeframe of the 1000 year Millenial Reign doctrine, which by chronology of the same teaching, occurs before the creation of a New Heavens and Earth, then in scripture actually occuring after such event?  One or the other is wrong…the teaching, or the scriptures…I side with scripture on this.

Now, as to Sacrifice, in the New Jerusalem, and such as it applies to Isaiah 65.  There will be no sacrifice in that Holy Mountain, none.  This dictated by Isaiah 65:25

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards,
and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat:
for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed
of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and
dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

This doesn’t mean there won’t be blood shed or death or even curse in that world.  It means such will not exist in all of YHWH’s Holy Mountain.  You see, at the Sabbath Study at Clive’s in April, both Clive and Catherine alluded to the passage of Zecheriah 14 as it related to David Koresh’s Jerusalem experience, the Vision of 1985.  It was explained that the earth is soiled, and The New Jerusalem is a Holy city which cannot rest on Unholy ground.  The moutain the young man of Zecheriah 2 goes to measure, will not currently hold 144,000…the earthquake of Zecheriah 14 will change that, as a new mountain will be created by that earthquake, it will literally rise up out of the earth, and never having had man nor beast to stand upon it, it will be pure, sanctified, holy, upon which the New Jerusalem will rest.  The city will be holy, the mountain will be Holy, there will be no sacrifice in that city, nor on that mountain.

Now, you go on to cite in your reply of Priests and Levites being chose before the establishement of the Kingdom in Isaiah 66:

HOWEVER ISAIAH 66:22 ALSO STATES THAT “THE LORD SHALL MAKE A NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH.”

Part of me wonders if you note confusion as to Priests and Levites being chosen before the establishment of a Kingdom you note to occur at the end of the timeframe noted by the Millenial Reign doctrine.  Let’s keep in mind that such originates with the Rapture crowd, many of whom denounce the person of David Koresh.  I am not saying that such ideas do not have foundations in Scripture, but note that they mostly have strayed from those foundations, and their logic is flawed.

Chapter 66 builds on 65, describing the events at the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth, detailing it’s headquarters, it’s timeframe of establishment and life in the same…The New Jerusalem.  Verse 13 offers it to be the place in which comfort will be found.

The battle prior to the establishment…at the time of the arrival of New Jersualem

Isaiah 66 (1-6)

Zecheriah 14
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations,
as when he fought in the day of battle.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the
people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume
away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume
away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Revelations 21
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall
flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his
servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
Revelations 21 cites
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.

Zecheriah clearly illustrates in chapter 14, that the bowls of the alter will be replaced by the pots in the city of the new Jerusalem.  Try going to Jerusalem today, and proposing to use a regular old cooking pot for sacrificial offering…see what you run into.  I don’t (Think) you would be well recieved, and they are gearing up to rebuild the temple as we discuss this.  Such a suggestion to devout Jews would be a sacrilage.  Those bowls are a source of pride…made of pure gold.  If they could be replaced by something as common as a cooking pot…it only stands to reason some other customs are replaced as well.

God’s feelings on animal Sacrifices offered at that timeframe are explained in Isaiah 66

3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb,

as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered

swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they

have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because

when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil

before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

The Presence of God and the Lamb in the New Jerusalem

**Now I stated before that there is no temple in the New Jerusalem, actually there is, but even it, like the bowls before

the altar, are seen as having been replaced in Revelations 21, and replaced by The Lord God himself and the Lamb…We see also the Presence of both The Lord God Almighty and The Lamb in that city in both Isaiah 66 and Zechariah 14:

Isaiah 66
6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that
rendereth recompence to his enemies.

Zecheriah 14
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night:
but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Revelations 21

22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it:

for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Note in Isaiah 66:6 we see the presence of a city, and “a voice” not “THE Voice”, but “a voice of the Lord” the voice is from the Temple, the temple is not The Lord, but it is The Lord God Almighty and The Lamb.  And one of these voices is heard.
Now, as they are the temple, the lamb is actually the Glory of God, and the light which eminates in Revelations 21:23, and at Evening in Zecheriah 14:7.

The earthquake before the arrival of the city, is the travail of Isaiah 66: 7, and Zecheriah 14: 4

Isa 66: 7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things?

Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation

be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

Zech 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives,

which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in

the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a

very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north,

and half of it toward the south.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains

shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake

in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Note in Isaiah 66:10 the Saints are told to Rejoice for Jerusalem, the same who offer Mourning…well prior to this arrival of the NEW Jerusalem…we see in Zecheriah 14:4, to this Cleaving of the Mount of Olives as New Mt. Zion rises out of the earth, prior to the earthquake which causes the same…we see the cause of those who Mourn Jerusalem, as the earthly city is destroyed…

1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken,

and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth

into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Now before we look at those priests and Levites you noted, lets look at the offerings.

Isa 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of

all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift

beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an

offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

Did you get that…?  In the new testament Paul alludes to describe himself as a “living sacrifice.” Go back and read that verse again…emphasis on the following question(s), We see those who bring an offering unto the Lord out of all nations for the feast of Tabernacles, and do so in the same fashion as the Jews of old…doing so “AS THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL BRING AN OFFERING”, so the question is two fold…Who are “THEY” who bring in the opening words?  And What do ”THEY” bring for an offering unto the Lord out of All  nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts?

”And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD”

So the kingdoms of this world gather against Jerusalem, and destroy her.  Then there is an earthquake and New Zion rises, as New Jerusalem comes to sit upon her.  The Lord himself wages war as this is coming to fruition, having stood on the Mount of Olives just prior to the earthquake.  His enemies are consumed by fire.  His saints, are comforted in that new city, in which the Lord God himself, and the Lamb are the Temple.  The Lamb is the Light of that city, the Glory of God is the Lamb, not the Shekinah which served so priorly.  The alter bowls are replaced by the pots of the city, the temple is replaced by the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb…the Caananites are replaced by Levites and priests and the offerings are replaced by people as opposed to possesions.

They who bring are the Levites and Preists, the NEW LEVITES AND PRIESTS.  Note the there is no more Caananite in the New Jerusalem…in the House of The Lord…

Zecheriah 14:21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness

unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them,

and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Note they that sacrifice in Zecheriah 14:21 are “They” who bring in Isaiah 66:20, these are also those who Dwell with God in that City in Revelations 21.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God

is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself

shall be with them, and be their God.

and in Isaiah 66 we see them bringing offering to the Lord at the feast of Tabernacles in verse 20, it is of these whom the new priests and Levites are chosen, and who again are these in Isaiah 66?

They are they who escape the wrath of God to declare his glory amongst the nations in Verse 19:

Isa 66:19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them

unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan,

to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory;

and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

They will offer a first hand eye witness account of the event of the arrival of the Lord God Of Hosts, his Lamb and his Kingdom to reign from The New Jerursalem resting upon New Zion. They are the righteous, those who endured to the end, they are the saints who will reign with him in the new earth.  This battle is described in greater detail in Isaiah 65:1-12

1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not:

I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh

in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in

gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh,

and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou.

These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense,

even recompense into their bosom,
7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD,

which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon

the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith,

Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my

mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the

herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain,

that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to

the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did

not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Now what of those Gentiles, saved to this timeframe who are righteous, who recognize the lamb, and have also been gathered to this region at the timeframe of this battle, what about those Caananites amongst them, as it is written In Zecheriah 14 there shall be no more Caananite in the House of the Lord?  What of those numbered as Righteous?  Well, remember Rahab? Remember Esther?  “Thy People shall be my people, and thy God shall be my God”….God is not without honor, and loves righteousness more than tradition.  Note Isaiah 65 speaks of those who survive this battle of verses 1-12:

Isaiah 65:

13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye

shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty:

behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart,

and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD

shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

Do you see it now?

All the confusion, all the mixed bloodlines, a grand effort to cause God to be a liar, to make his promise void, to ascribe a cursed name to his chosen…that name…”Caananite.”  But he knows his own, and he will deliver them, he will call them by another name, he will call them by a name no man knows, and he will choose them to be Levites and Priests. And it is this act which creates Jerusalem a Rejoicing from those who mourned her loss.

16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth;

and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former

troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not

be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold,

I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

Now in re-emphasis of that stated earlier…

Re: (3) The Correlation of Zecheriah 14 to Revelations 21/”NEW JERUSALEM”Posted by Steven Benjamin (Billy Steven Crider) on September 7, 2008, 3:07 am, in reply to “(2) The Correlation of Zecheriah 14 to Revelations 21/”NEW JERUSALEM”
…hold on, were getting there…you see, no sin, the whole world will not go up to Jerusalem, but of those who dont go, all will not be in violation…as they will have representatives going in thier behalf…note more closely:

“The Sign of Jonas” A Sabbath Study w/ Steven Benjamin

Note: The Original Study had images with it, images I created in college, but for this study.  Regrettably, some are not here, but to the diligent, I promise a surprise.  Hope you enjoy…

“THE SIGN OF JONAS: A Study with Steven Benjamin”

OK let me set the stage for you.

  • First, What is the sign of Jonas?
  • Second, has it come?
  • Lastly, if so where is our hope?

In the new testament, we are told that it is a wicked generation that requires a sign, Christ goes on to say that there shall no sign be given them, save the sign of Jonas (Jonah). So, what is the sign of Jonas?

Well first it is an undisputable sign given to a wicked generation, a sign which will not go away, will not be dismissed, and at some point will be acknowledged. How can in one sentence we be told that there shall no sign be given them save the sign of Jonas, and in another be told there will be many signs and wonders? Well it seems that it is a matter of perspective? I remember Lester Roloff used to say a quaint little expression on the matter of perspective, “two men looked out of prison bars, one saw mud, the other saw stars…it’s a difference in the direction.

So back to the question, how can in one sentence we be told that there shall no sign be given them save the sign of Jonas, and in another be told there will be many signs and wonders? Well for one thing those who witness many signs and wonders will be God’s people during this time. A time where many will say, “ he’s not coming, that’s a fairy tale” or as scripture foretells, “ where is the promise of his coming?”  It will be a time of a Wicked generation, one whose mark at least according to this verse,  will not be their sodomy, their sorceries, their violence, though all these will likely be present “as it were in the days of Noah.”  It will be their attitude, one that requires a sign. An attitude that when given many signs says, “ oh, I don’t believe that, I need further proof, If your God be God, tell him to do this…or ask him that”  requiring their own sign, one tailored to their exact specifications so as to remove all doubt.  And the answer is that there shall no sign be given them save one, the sign of Jonas.

So what is the sign of Jonas? Is it a miracle? Again that depends on perspective, but Pharaoh had witnessed many miracles at the hand of Moses, specific miracles, yet he still scoffed until one morning he rose to find that his own actions, had not only brought suffering upon the lives of his people, but that as even his own child lay dead with all the first born of Egypt, the realization that the hand of God could certainly reach even him.

All his worldly power could not deliver him from this plague, no hired servants to insure that the palace was swept of frogs and locusts, no reserve of water to allieviate the thirst that parched the land in the prescence of rivers being turned to blood, no doctrine to argue whose god was supreme, just the lifeless corpse of his child. What was a miracle to one was a curse to another.

It is commonly taught throughout many denominations, seminaries and even television broadcast that the resurrection of Christ was the sign of Jonas, as Christ’s’ body  is recorded spent three days in the grave and resurrected on the third, and Jonah in similar fashion would spend three days in the belly of a whale. Was this the sign of Jonas? Perhaps to that wicked generation, but what of this generation? If there is one universal sign of Jonas was it the resurrection. Remember it was a sign to the wicked, and who was it that witnessed the resurrection of Christ? Pilate? Herod? Caesar himself? No, it was the followers of Christ. Were they a wicked generation? We know that Thomas was recorded as a doubter, but did he actually have to thrust his hand into the wound of Christ? I am almost certain Peter was in great remorse during the hours and days following his third denial, but by day three, after he certainly must have agonized in prayer, after he must have certainly obsessed over and over of his own actions, after he must have certainly counted and recounted again and again the crowing of roosters, and at least one in particular, do you think he was part of a wicked generation? Perhaps he was set apart, come out of that generation, if only by knowledge and understanding. Have you ever obsessed over a thing uncontrollably for days, out of guilt perhaps, or maybe fear?

I have, and I am almost certain that before Peter ever saw his Master, maybe even before but certainly after hearing rumors of a resurrection, may well have recounted his Masters words finding consolation in the fact that he who had once walked on water with the Messiah, had not only denied Christ out of fear, but had done so in fulfillment of prophecy.  And as this realization sunk in, I am sure that the torment of three days of going back and forth between the different emotional extremes of guilt, anger and frustration which certainly must have twisted his gut into a knot, grinding at his soul, grinding at his mind, grinding the joy out of his life, grinding at every fiber of his being, almost “to sift” him “as wheat,” if you will, must have no doubt been replaced with shear excatsy  sight of his Messiah, not standing before him offering his wound to Thomas’s scrutiny, but looking him right in the eye, through his memory, through time and space and telling him that surely “before the cock crow thrice, you shall deny me thrice.” And the very words which once just days prior caused Peter great agony, must have then at that time been his hope.

So was the sign of Jonas a miracle? resurrection? Was it a message? The first message I would hear at the Branch Davidian Church, at the chapel which had been built for the survivors by the community in an effort to bring healing, the message brought by Clive Doyle, on Sabbath School was on the Sign of Jonas. But it was not the first message I recall receiving there as I had been to the site on at least three occasions prior. I remember first speaking to Amo Roden and Edna Doyle members of two opposing factions of the Branch Davidian church. I remember Mrs. Doyle, a member of the survivors of the group who had went through the siege in 1993, comforting me, after I told her, “ these things keep happening, and I don’t know why, it scares me” pointing to several articles in my hands reporting of earthquakes, plane crashes, and other events which took place in the early months of 2001. I remember her explanation of the “light” of understanding, and how people had different levels of it, and I remember her advice as she told me not to worry about things, that God would do what he would do, and understanding would come in time.

So was the sign of  Jonas a message? A resurrection?  A miracle? It may well have been all these things, but what is it today? What is the sign of Jonas?

Perhaps as I said in my opening statements, it is an undeniable fact, one which will not go away, one which “will be given them.”  Shortly after Pentecost I would imagine that Pilate must have certainly comforted himself in the fact that he washed his hands that day.  Some 40 years or so later, at the fall of Jerusalem in 70 a.d. The same generation that of Jews that put Christ on the cross fulfilling prophecy, must have certainly had surviving members of their generation left as they who had once deemed Christ a blasphemer, now began to view him as a Prophet. As the movement continued to grow, and persistent persecution reigned in opposition, Even Ceasar himself would acknowledge Christ, as an undeniable force that would not go away. As nearly 280 to 300 years after Calvary, Constantine would take a Roman empire that was divided into four ruling factions, and a people divided into greater factions and unite them into one unified empire again in his acknowledgement of Christ. A unification the would be short lived as events of the beginning of Daniel chapter 7 which he had fulfilled at least in type, would give way to great controversy and division and fulfillment of passages of scripture at the end of Daniel chapter 7, again at least in type, as Constantine would in an effort to further unify the Empire, do just the opposite in the minds of many at the Council of Nicea, in 325 A.D. as he sought to change the times and the laws.

And the book of Daniel from which Christ was recorded to make reference many places in the new testament including Matthew chapter 24 would further testify of Christ to the world, through the rise of the Catholic church, protestant movements, Anabaptists’, Adventists’, Kingdom Churches, As an undeniable sign which would not go away. Even an atheist would have to admit as does the Pagan villain in the movie the Da Vinci code, that at least the name of Christ continues, if they deny his divinity, they at least must recognize the resurrection of his name by virtue of defending their own logic.

So was the sign of Jonas a person? Well we know that Jonah was a person, and that there is a section in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, and in the Hebrew book of the Prophets dedicated to him, and perhaps we should look there.

We are told that sign of Jonas would be given to a wicked generation, we know it would be considered miraculous to some and a curse to others, we know that it may well have been a resurrection, and syntax dictates that it is certainly a message.

So who was Jonas?

When I was in Bible College, I heard Jack Schaap teach on Jonas. He recounted the event in a vivid story like fashion, pointing out facts along the way. In my memory I will paraphrase to the best of my recollection.

“So here you have Jonah, he has just been spit out onto the beach from the belly of a whale. After spending three days in that whales belly, having his body being attacked by the digestive juices of that animal, all the hair must have been removed from his flesh eaten away by the whales stomach acids, his skin must have been bleach white with no pigmentation color at all,  and here he is spit out on the shore of Assyria, Nineveh was still a 3 day journey on foot, and he’s been “slimed”, and he stands up on the shore, could you imagine what the Assyrians must have thought?

I mean here this guy is, He’s probably naked, his skin is white as snow, he has absolutely no hair on his body, and he has been spit out onto the shore by a fish, to a country who worshipped a pagan fish-god. Now he has to walk for 3 days to get to Nineveh to deliver his message, can you imagine the rumors that preceded him, as he walked, not stopping to speak to anyone as you know he hated the ninevites, and he’s walking into this kingdom to a city which had a particularly cruel reputation for dealing with strangers, impaling them on posts, stripping the flesh from their bodies, to this city he continues to walk, naked, bleach white with no hair on his body, knowing that they worship a fish-god as he trudges step by step into the kingdom of Assyria, everyone pointing and whispering, wondering who is this man, where does he come from, where is he going ? I mean the King of Nineveh had to have been scared out of his wits by the time Jonah finally arrived. And then when Jonah delivers his message, it’s no wonder the whole kingdom repented.”

There must have certainly been some confusion in that country, Here is Jonah, arriving out of the belly of a fish to a kingdom that worshipped a fish god, to prophesy on behalf of Jah’,  their imminent destruction.

Here is a paraphrased recounting of the message I heard Clive Doyle teach on Jonah in the first week of June 2001.

“  Jonah 4:5 “So Jo’nah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what might become of the city. VS 6    And the Lord God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over his head, to deliver him from his grief.  So Jo’nah was exceeding glad of the gourd.”

So you got Jonah here, and he’s watching on a hillside, he’s got a ringside seat to witness the destruction of Nineveh this wicked city he has prophesied against. And he’s got him a gourd, and he’s saving it for the show, and he’s watching the people fast and pray, and 40 days pass and nothing happens. And then Jonah get’s angry with God, why? In chapter 4 vs 2 he says to God “were not these my words” “O, Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country?” He’s telling God, didn’t’ I say this before I ever left, now there going to call me a false prophet,  and he’s mad because God has made him a false prophet, This is how he made his living back in Israel, and he can’t go back there now, he knows they will have certainly heard about all of this, and he knows what they do to false prophets in Israel, if he goes back there they will stone him. So here Jonah’ is stuck in a land with people he hates, who are no doubt laughing at him now as 40 days have passed and nothing happened, He didn’t give any repent or be perished clause, he simply told them what he was supposed to that they were going to be destroyed in 40 days. Now before the 40 days have expired, Jonah has lost his livelihood, he has lost his home and he’s angry with God because here he is a prophet of God, and he had walked into the city of Nineveh yelling and proclaiming that the city was going to be destroyed, now he’s sees Nineveh repent, and he knows God is merciful and already he suspects that God is going to spare the city. and he knows that he has been made a false prophet by the same God he served, and he begins to argue with God in chapter 4 saying “ was not this my saying”…“were not these my words?” didn’t I do what you told me to do? Didn’t I say what you told me to say? How could you do this to me? And ol’ Jonah is just thinking’ about himself, and throwing his pity party, and he knows he can’t go back home, and so he asks God to kill him, and God begins to reason with him, saying in v.s. 4, Then said the Lord, Doest thou well to be Angry?” and ol’ Jonah he doesn’t want to hear it and he goes to the east side of the city, and makes himself a little booth and he’s watching, he wants to see this city destroyed, and God sends him a gourd, and does he eat it, no. He could have, I mean he’s out there in the heat trying to shade himself from the sun, waiting to see If God is going to destroy Nineveh, and the Lord God sends him a gourd, and what does Jonah do with it, does he eat it? No, he’s out there in that (Texas) sun, does he tap it and drink the fluid? No, he’s saving it for the show, and God sees the hatred in Jonah’s heart and he sends a worm to the next morning to destroy the gourd. Then in verse 8 we see that not only has Jonah lost his livelihood, he already knows that God is going to spare the city, not only has he lost his home, he knows he can’t go back to Israel, now he’s lost his gourd, literally. And we see in verse 8, that Jonah, who is now homeless, jobless, is now hungry, and God sends a strong wind, so you know Jo’nah ‘ s makeshift little shelter has now blown away, so now here is Jo’nah, stuck in the heat, and what happens? He faints from the heat,

Jonah 4:8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind: and the sun beat upon the head of Jo’nah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.

So here is ol’ Jonah, and he’s already asked God to kill him once, now he’s writhing around on the ground asking for anybody to kill him and put him out of his misery, wishing he was dead, and God come to him again and says in verse 9 “And God said to Jo’nah, doest thou well to be angry for the gourd?” and God hasn’t went anywhere he’s been trying to tell Jonah something, and he has already asked Jonah once “ doest thou well to be angry?” and Jonah walks away, and God is waiting to finish the conversation, and here Jonah is for the second time wishing he was dead, and God ask Jonah “doest thous well to be angry for the gourd?” and Jonah snaps at God and say “I do well to be angry, even to death.” Now the real issue is starting to come to the surface, and God begins to reason with Jonah, who doesn’t know his own heart, he wasn’t ready to die over a gourd, he was angry because he lost his job, God had made him a false prophet, his heart is filled with hatred and then God says in verse 10 of chapter 4 “Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: And should I not spare Nin’e-veh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?”

And God tells Jonah, you have pity on a gourd, what about these people, your worried about a plant that came and went with the wind, while there are a hundred and twenty thousand people, you see all Jonah is thinking about is himself, he’s worried about a gourd while God is worried about all those people,  this was a large city, there was more than a hundred and twenty thousand people( at this point I tried to show my learning’ and raised my hand to give a report that, I had been taught in bible college, that the city was actually much larger, close to probably a half a million, by reasoning that a hundred and twenty thousand people who couldn’t tell between their right hand and their left would indicate a hundred and twenty thousand children under 4 or 5 years old, therefore illustrating the magnitude of a much larger mass—this was dismissed, and be agreed that at any rate it was a large city and would indicate that they had been taught that the meaning was a reference to the spiritual state of the city translated as…)

You have got this large city, more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who can’t tell between their right hand and their left, God is telling Jonah that these people are ignorant to him and his ways, and here Jonah has the opportunity to minister to these people, to teach them about God but he has all this hatred in his heart, that’s the reason he fled in the first place, he didn’t want God to spare Nineveh, and God is saying they’re ignorant, they don’t know their right hand from their left, and you want me to destroy them for breaking my laws, for being ignorant and God is trying to show Jonah the hatred in his own heart, and he reasons with Jonah saying Your showing more pity on a gourd that you didn’t have anything to do with, more than you are for these people who are blind, and ignorant of me, so I send you to them and they are repenting and turning to me and you have this great opportunity to minister to them but you would rather I destroy them.

So again I ask you, what is the sign of Jonas? Is it a miracle? Is it a resurrection? Is it a message? Perhaps it is all of the above. Is it a messenger which God from time to time has seen fit to use to evangelize a wicked world into repentance?

Perhaps, as Jonah was sent by a whale to an wicked nation who worshipped the fish-god (Ashur?) who was half man and half fish to proclaim the truth of  Jah’, and likewise it would be Christ, who would be sent into the world to the Roman empire, proclaiming the truth of the mercies and judgments of Jah’ to the Jews in an empire of  Romans who worshipped the sun-god Mithros who was reported to have been born of a Virgin about 300 BC. Maybe it was a messenger, but more pertinent, what is it today? What is the sign of Jonas?  If it is a messenger, who is he? What is his message? Who is his message to?

The following are commonly taught of Jonah, no matter what denomination you choose:

  • Jonah was a Prophet of Israel
  • He prophesied against Assyria about 775 BC
  • Assyria would defeat the northern kingdom of Israel about 722 BC.
  • Assyria would be spared from during Jonah’s prophesy but would return to their wicked ways and later be destroyed  about 612 BC.

These should be considered as well

  • The prophet Nahum, a prophet of Judah whose name literally means “consoler” prophesied against Nineveh as well, about a hundred years or so after Jonah, after the city of  Nineveh had backslidden from their revival, and just years later would come the destruction of the Assyrian empire by Babylon.
  • In the time of Christ, as recorded in Matthew, he made reference to the prophecies of Daniel, which were mostly fulfilled against Babylon, in reference to Israel Rome in a future time.
  • In 70 AD, most of the prophecies of Christ were fulfilled as Rome surrounded Jerusalem, and after a time of waiting, impatiently stormed the city, laying siege and destroying the city, its occupants and the temple.
  • For over a hundred and fifty years preachers across this continent have pointed back to the prophecies of Christ, Daniel, John the Revelator, and projected these prophecies which were once fulfilled already or at least mostly fulfilled, if only in type, to a time “yet” to come. To a spiritual resurrection of the Babylonian Empire, via a physical resurrection of the Roman Empire, just as the Israelites who were off just far enough in their interpretation of prophecy nailed Christ to the cross, were close enough to recognize the sign of the times heralding his arrival, so much to the point that they aroused Herod’s attention to the point that he slew all the firstborn Jewish children across the land.
  • John the revelator wrote of a land which was called Jerusalem and was spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. He also wrote of a New Jerusalem.
  • Preachers all across this land had no problem in spiritually calling this land “Babylon” during the 70’s and 80’s when I attended services as a child. But now that these same prophecies which once scared members into the pews and money into the plates actually seem to be fulfilling themselves, they seem quite agitated, as though the have been awaiting the arrival of God’s profits, rather than God’s prophets.
  • During World War two, Victor Houteff correctly prophesied the return of Israel to a nation, at least several years before the event transpired in 1948.  It is written in copyrighted literature. Some would argue that perhaps this was just keen insight, and perhaps it was, but he also expounded on a small book of the Bible, showing that the world was where it was during the prophesies of Nahum. These same passages show that America is in the same position as ancient Assyria.
  • In 1993, I saw an article in the Fayetteville Newspaper from the associated press entitled “Sinful Messiah” as I read, for a moment I said “he’s come back” then I hesitated as I read on, and I watched intently with the rest of the world during those 51 days and I prayed.  I wondered who this man I read about was, and I wondered if the accusations were true. Unlike many who accept everything the see and hear on television and in the news as fact I would go to investigate for myself, I would make inquiry, and God would open my eyes and teach me the Bible as it was written.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH THEN YOU NEED TO ACCEPT
THE FACT THAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR
    WHAT YOU DO WITH IT,
NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO STOP
READING AND GO NO FURTHER IF YOU PREFER NOT TO KNOW ANYMORE,

BUT IF YOU HAVE A HEART TO HEAR AND YOU WANT TO
KNOW THE TRUTH OF THESE TIMES THEN CONTINUE READING.
  •
The first will address popular interpretation of Prophetic Doctrine, a particular aspect of the interpretation which is preached across this land and why it is a fallacy. I will prove to you from the Scriptures, taken in context, and according to the rules of the English language that point to the fact that the church is going through the tribulation, that rapture which is the escape clause of many will not happen until the end of “the time of Jacobs’ Trouble.”
“ ,at the last trump.” I Corinthians 15:52
and as well, when this raptural event happens at the last trump as scripture teaches and not the first as is taught across this land, at that time those raptured will not disappear mysteriously as is commonly taught, but rather the world will see it happen, they will view the event and they will tremble.
I will show you by reasoning from the scripture, that while we are to pray for the Kingdom to be established, we should not desire the day of the Lord, according to the books of Joel and Hosea which teach  that the inhabitants of the land should “tremble at the day of the Lord,” and promises “Woe, unto him that desireth the day of the Lord, for what profit is it unto you, it is a day of darkness and not light and there is no light in it.”

  • THIS Message will be continued in three E-mails.

I have been kicked out of churches, homes, and even run off from at least one town for preaching the truth, so consider diligently as to whether or not you want to know. As well there will be consequences of not knowing, “but those days shall come upon them like a thief.” One friend who had once persecuted me greatly in the early days of all these visions, but throughout the years has been witness to a vast number of them, just recently in the past couple of years brought me a great amount of comfort to realize he had been paying attention all along, as he told me, “ Steve, I get this stuff too, but I don’t tell people because I see what they do to you.” Every insult I ever tolerated, every jest, every embarrassing moment when I had to swallow my pride to present the truth knowing how it would be received was worth it all in that moment. But these are only the beginnings of sorrows and consider the words of Christ quite literally as they are reported in the new testament in Matthew 19:28-30

19:28  And Je’sus said unto them, Verily I say unto you,  That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

19:29 And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my names sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

And again in John 12 verse 25

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his
life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Now I promised a treat to the Diligent, and here it is, you see, I like to offer the view points of surviving Branch Davidians when possible to the subjects I speak on with reference to doctrine, and particularly prophetic doctrine.  And I do so in effort to find out just where David Koresh stood on the same topics.  Here, we don’t have to ask a survivor, a former student, we can hear David Koresh himself in the audio recording…”JONAH” by David Koresh.  Included is a transcript by Mark Sweatt, it is approx 98 % accurate and I have yet to actually updat though I once did on the Mt. Carmel DB.  I am currently in  a project I will reveal soon, and hope it will be a pleasant surprise.  For now, to those who cared enough to read my views on the Sign of Jonas, I offer now David Koresh’s views on the same, both in AUDIO and WRITTEN format that you may follow along as you listen.  I hope to soon update this for you to 100% accuracy on the transcript, only a few errors as I recall, mostly harmless, but one changes the context of what is said entirely, so I urge you, enjoy, but listen carefully…

                                       Jonah

Recorded by David Koresh at Mt. Carmel Center Waco, Texas on April 25, 1989.

David: God made the birds, and on that day of creation what did God also
    make?

    Class: The fish.

David: The fish. The birds were created in the water. So the birds were to
come out of the water. Now the book of Jonah has been a book – like I said
before – throughout Christendom for hundred’s of years, its been a book
used as a bedtime story. But its lesson is clear, and its purpose is true.
There’s two sides of God. One side of God is the extreme wrath of
unretributable retribution, you know? Retribution only God can give. There
can be no come back on God. I mean there’s no contenders. Nobody can do
anything about it. And there’s this side of God that states a truth such as
the book of Jonah. It say’s: Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the
son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city and cry
    against it. Do what?

    Class: Cry against it.

David: For their wickedness is come up before me. This city is wicked. But
Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went
down to Jappa – which is a seaport, and he found a ship going to Tarshish:
so he paid the fare thereof. You can imagine Jonah getting his wallet out -
getting his ticket. And went down into it – into the ship – to go with them
unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. So Jonah did not want his
responsibility, did he. Can you imagine what was going through the mind of
this man. What will they think? What will they do to me? What’s gonna
happen to me? I don’t want to die, you know? So Jonah didn’t have a real
comprehension of God yet, did he? Did he? No, he didn’t. So sometimes God
chooses men who have weak minds, who haven’t really yet studied the natures
of science, to comprehend and fathom the power of the Almighty. {It’s the
natural reaction of being involved}, isn’t it – to avoid their
responsibility. But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there
was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
Pretty powerful storm, huh? Then the mariners were afraid – that’s the
ships crew – And cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares -
which is the merchandise – that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten
it of them. They wanted to make the ship a little lighter so it would float
    a bit higher, right? But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship;
and he lay, and was fast asleep. So the shipmaster came to him, and said
unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be
that God will think upon us, that we perish not. I mean they’re like
shooting a bunch of wild turkey out in the woods, huh? In other words,
maybe your God will help us. Every man’s crying to his own god, right? It’s
apparent that at this time, the shipmaster knows that everybody’s god’s all
out of town, huh? And they said everyone to his fellow, Come, and let us
cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they
decide to pick sticks, huh? So you would think that would just be time and
chance wouldn’t it. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon what?

    Class: Jonah

David: Just by chance, huh? Jonah came up with the short straw didn’t he.

                                 Tape Interruption

    David: The God of what?

    Class: Heaven

David: Which hath made the sea and the dry land. Now Jonah’s like most of
us. He’s a hypocrite, isn’t he Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and
said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from
the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. Then said they unto
him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the
sea was wrought, and was tempestous. And he said unto them, Take me up, and
cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know
that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. Was Jonah a fair man? He
knew he had failed God. He knew he had put people into jeopardy by his sin
and transgression. So now he tells them to let him walk the plank, huh? He
was gonna take his licking, huh? Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring
it to the land. Because they weren’t gonna what? Here’s some men who
worshipped pagan gods – that are better then Jonah – men willing to risk
their own lives then to have one perish, huh? But they could not. They
couldn’t get the boat to land, could they? For the sea wrought, and was
tempestous against them. Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We
beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this mans
life, and lay not upon us innocent blood. They didn’t want to kill him, did
they? They didn’t want to throw him off, did they? For thou, O LORD, hast
done as it pleased thee. So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the
sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. Then the men feared the LORD
exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. What did
they vow? From now on they would serve the God that Jonah didn’t. Sometimes
the death of one man, because of all the hell that breaks loose, will cause
people to convert and get on the right course, right? This was a miracle to
these men, wasn’t it? Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up
Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fishes belly, And said,
I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of
the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. For thou hadst cast
me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me
about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. Then I said, I am cast
out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. The waters
compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the
weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the
mountains; the earth with her bars was about me forever: yet thou hast
brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. When my soul fainted
within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came unto thee, into thine
    holy temple.

Steve Schneider: Vernon, there’s a guy at the gate that just stopped by and
wants to hear. No one knows who he is.

David: Well, what does he look like? Anybody know – recognize him.

Male: He’s a pretty clean guy. He has a pickup truck.

David: Huh? Well, go out there Terry and see. They that observe lying
vanities forsake their own mercy. So what’s the object lesson here? What’s
the object lesson? Huh? Well, Jonah served a real God – a living true God
who had power over the land, earth, and sea . Anything contrary to the God
of that temple that Jonah prayed to is vanity. Now Jonah knew enough of
this God that he explained to the guys that the reason why this was – cause
he had turned away from an obligation God had committed to him, and this
obligation was for the sole salvation of many people, wasn’t it? To cry
against Nineveh, the great city of Assyria. But I will sacrifice unto thee
with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. What was
the vow that all Israel was to make unto God?

    Class: {unintelligible}

David: That’s the vow of Israel since the days that God brought Israel out
of Egypt by the hand of Moses. {For their seed and their seed cease
throughout all generation to obey the present truth? And the LORD spake
unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. So we can say at
this point Jonah realized that he was nothing but puke, right? Right? Jonah
wasn’t nothing but old puke was he? So who was he to deny the authority of
the most high, and to fear man, or the son of man which was made as grass,
right? Now people always think that prophets have to be holy and divine,
but this story is a record to show you that God is the one in charge of
salvation, and God is the one who chooses whom he will choose. God could
have easily slain Jonah and chose a multitude of others, but the story is
written so that we might be confident that God’s purposes are His purposes
and we’re not to judge or misjudge God’s reasons for doing what he does.
God used Jonah to save, even though Jonah wasn’t {in any hurry} to be in
the ministry, was he? God chose to raise up the sea, and to use Jonah as an
object to save, not that Jonah would tell a man anything. Here’s the
keynote. And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching
that I bid thee. Ok. Here’s the object lesson. So Jonah arose, and went
unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an
exceeding great city of three days’ journey. Let’s pay attention. Let’s pay
attention, Rachel. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey,
and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be what?

    Class: Overthrown.

David: Now class here comes a message – here comes a messenger whose
purpose is to threaten a city – given an allotted time period. Now you’ve
got to imagine the kind of men that were inhabitants of this city. You have
to meditate, and realize that in a city such as Nineveh the capitol of
Assyria – you know how the Assyrian’s were – that they would even consider
a message not even from their own origin. Jonah was a Hebrew – a stranger -
an alien to this society, and yet here comes a man out of his social
atmosphere, and he comes and tells the world’s greatest city at this time
that God’s gonna destroy them within forty days. So the people of Nineveh
believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the
greatest of them even to the least of them. Now that’s strange. But now
we’ve got to meditate upon the object of this lesson – the book of Jonah.
The object is the reason why this book is written. First of all, we see the
purpose of God. Second of all, we see the man whom God has chosen to use.
God has chosen Jonah. Jonah fled from his responsibility. Fact? And
nevertheless God, for some purpose unbeknown to us at this point, God
decides to use Jonah even still. There’s other stories in the Bible where
God informed men to do certain things, and they refused, and they were
slain. But this is in the scripture for a reason. Let’s proceed: For word
came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid
his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. You
could say that by the authority of this spirit, that the king of Nineveh
was convicted. Now remember in our study the other day. When God confronts
the arm of the LORD, God say’s: Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and
wounded the dragon? Now the Bible student is fully aware that Rahab the
harlot was not any wise cut or wounded by any sword of man. For this woman,
while time permitted, was to partake of the covenant given to Moses. That
is, the covenant that God told to Moses, of all the nations that you shall
come up against, if they shall war against you, you shall utterly destroy
them. But if they shall proclaim peace against thee, and shall come unto
thee saying, we will serve thy God, and be under thy yoke. Then what was
Moses to do to those nations? To bring them in, and they were to be as one
of Israel. Weren’t they? Now Rahab the harlot, a champion no doubt for the
service of Satan, in that any harlot would be – right? Rahab was given
opportunity by the situation and circumstance to show faith in the purposes
of God, right? She knew well that God’s purpose was to give Israel the
whole land – the land of Cannan, and by the example done unto Egypt, and by
the power manifested by the Red Sea being opened. Rahab quit while she had
a chance, didn’t she? Who convicted her of the impossibility of her having
    victory against these Hebrews?

    Class: The Holy Spirit

David: The Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can convict of sin – reprove
the world for righteousness, right? Ok. Now when God confronts the arm of
the LORD God explains: Art thou it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the
dragon? We were talking earlier about the commission of God to Adam and
Eve. The warfare’s between the woman and the dragon. The seed of the woman
    is to wound the what?

Class: The head of the dragon.

David: The head of the dragon. And the dragon is to wound the heal. Well,
we have a lesson don’t we? It’s been through the working of the spirit of
God that men – men who have been led of Satan have had their minds blown.
The ultimacy of God’s purposes: His mercy, His goodness, His truth, and
this is what causes true conversion. And we can see the wisdom of God for
our benefit. When Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness. Here is
God represented as a snake. Well, we thought the devil was the snake. Well,
they thought Christ was the devil, until he was lifted up. Then he would
draw men to him though the wisdom of God. We were wrong, he was right. This
is the object lesson, isn’t it? So we see that through this message of
Jonah – through God’s efforts – the God who had made the whale, or the
fish, the God who had made the sea, and the land, the God who had caused
the tempest, the God who had done everything so forth, that these men by
hearing the words of Jonah were convicted, not by the presence of Jonah,
    but by what?

    Class: The spirit.

David: The Holy Spirit who had power over all this situation, correct? So
we as the Bible students, as we behold these things, we’re to learn the
lesson if it all. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through
Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man
nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything: let them not feed, nor drink
water. Now this is thorough repentance. But let man and beast be covered
with sackcloth, and a cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn everyone
from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can
tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that
we perish not? So what conviction was rested upon this king of Assyriah?
    Huh?

    Class: The spirit of truth.

David: The spirit of truth. Some ministers say that when Jonah walked into
the city he was white from digestion. Do you think that’s a possible reason
that the king of Assyria repented? Because he saw a monster? I don’t think
so. As a matter of fact, I know not so. And God saw their works, that they
turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he said that
he would do unto them; and he did it not. So God chose not to bring his
wrath upon them. Now the next focal point of this lesson. What kind of
person was Jonah? That’s the question. What kind of character had this
wonderful prophet developed after coming so close with eternal ruin? What
kind of divine Christian deportment was he now to show? Let’s review. The
man had been given a message from God. He ran from this divine
responsibility. So definitely we can conclude that he did not have a full
scope or comprehension of God’s greatness. He ran and he tried to escape
from the presence of God by going to a boat, and in the boat the sea arose,
and all the men’s lives were in jeopardy. They all cried to their own god.
And then Jonah had the nerve to say, well it’s my God who’s causing this,
because I serve the God who made heaven and earth. Of which the men hearing
this statement didn’t throw him over yet, because – do you think they
    really believed him?

    Class: No.

David: No. Because no man who served that kind of God would be running away
from him. So they row even harder don’t they? But finally they realize they
better do something. So they say, God, don’t hold us chargeable for
innocent blood. Why not? He’s the one who said, let me go over. So they
sent him over, the sea went calm. Now they believe, don’t they? The death
of this unfaithful prophet – that is as far as they’re concerned it’s death
    - these men believe in the God of Jonah. Now they know from now on that you
don’t run away from the God who made heaven and earth, right? And that’s
the God they better fear – least likewise they also end up taking a boat
trip ending up in the ocean too – , dead. Now – so see – God’s wisdom is
revealed in this story, isn’t it? But nevertheless God had prepared a fish.
So God was working from two avenues. God had now saved these seamen, now
it’s time to save Jonah – to convert Jonah the hypocrite. The fish vomits
Jonah and the word of the LORD comes to Jonah saying; now go cry unto this
great city of Nineveh. Jonah now convinced of the authority and power of
God goes to Nineveh and cries against Nineveh – but nevertheless Nineveh
repents. Now Jonah should be thoroughly converted. This wonderful man of
God that your Bible talks about should be thoroughly brokenhearted at the
wonderful mercy of the Almighty. But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and
he was very angry. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O,
LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I
fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the
evil. Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it
is better for me to die than to live. Why? Jonah is going to be called, as
far as he thinks, a false prophet. Do you understand the scripture, and
what it’s trying to portray? The unthankfulness, the unrespectfulness, the
selfishness, the audacity of this man of God. The city repents. What
minister would love to see his congregation repent of their transgressions
and prepare for the kingdom to come. Not so of this man. This man who came
so close to death in that he was the digestive part of a whale, a man who
{unintelligible} was spit up, mangled with puke of a whale, now is angrier,
because deep down inside his pride is eating him up more then the acid in
the fish. He’d rather die than to have to face not having his prophecy be
fulfilled. Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? You hear that
same statement echoed from something we heard earlier before. Who can tell
me where that was echoed from?

    Class: Cain and Abel.

David: Cain and Abel. Cain chose to do his own predetermined will. Whereas,
Abel chose to follow the revealed will of God, didn’t he? That’s what we’re
talking about. The present truth – the revealed will of God. In other
words, do you do well that you’re angry? I mean – is this what’s going to
make you a better person? Doest thou well? Is it advantageous for you? Is
it the present thing you should occupy your time in? So Jonah went out of
the city, and he sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a
booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become
of the city. And the LORD GOD prepared a gourd. This is interesting. It
say’s a {palmquest} in the margin. And made it to come up over Jonah, that
it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. What was
the cause of Jonah’s grief? He’s worried about being a false prophet, isn’t
he? A man who had just gotten eaten by a whale is worried about being a
false prophet. A man who had just had an experience – I mean this is an
unreal story, isn’t it? A manifestation of the hardness of some men’s
hearts. The wickedness of some of man’s own selfish purposes. So Jonah was
exceedingly glad of the gourd, wasn’t he? Why? Because the gourd covered
him, the leaves kept the heat off of his head, and wasn’t he happy. But God
prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd
that it withered. And it came to pass, when the sun did rise, that God
prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah,
that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for
me to die than to live. The lesson’s clear, isn’t it? Some people serve God
because they have to and all along the way they’re selfish, evil, wicked
people. What possible lesson can you derive from this book? And God said to
Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to
be angry, even unto death. What kind of spoiled brat is this. Have you ever
had a child that wanted two cookies when you gave him one? And he won’t eat
the one because he can’t have the other one? What is wrong with a child
like that? Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd. Why?
Covered him – kept him from the heat. For the which thou hast not laboured,
neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:
And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more then
sixscore thousand persons. How many is that? That cannot discern between
their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? What does that
mean? These people don’t know nothing. Did the men that Jonah occupied the
ship with – did they know the living God?

    Class: No.

    David: No. Did Jonah?

    Class: No.

David: No, Jonah knew of – Jonah knew – but yet Jonah had some sever
character problems didn’t he? Now Jonah would have been well happy, you can
see from this story, if God would have brought Sodom and Gomorah’s fire
upon Nineveh, right? Because Jonah would have been the great prophet
throughout his country, you know? The great prophet who had proclaimed fire
upon this evil city. We’d read the story of the fire came upon Nineveh, and
we’d thought wow, what an awesome prophet. And it would have said, and
Jonah exceedingly rejoiced in the LORD his God, and said to the LORD, Thou
hast tramped over my enemies, and subdued those who were against me under
the soles of my – right? The story would have ended; Wow, what an awesome
prophet. But we read this book in the Bible, and we think to ourselves; man
what a sorry person. The only thing he loves about God is when God does
something good for his personal self, and as far as anybody else, Jonah
could care less. Now Mike, why do you think inspiration has permitted this
book to be in the Bible? Many scholars of today say that it’s in there
because it was just a fairy tale – it’s not really true. Anybody got an
opinion? Mike? Come on you’re a ministerial student. Let’s hear it.

    Jonah Part B

     Transcript: Jonah Part B

David: Why is the Almighty Great God who we are supposed to believe in put
a book like this in the Bible – to show how rotten a prophet can be? And
yet God has a purpose. Do you know of another story in the Bible about a
    rotten prophet?

    Class: Balam.

David: Huh? You people are thinking real hard aren’t you.

    Class: {Unintelligible}

David: I’m amazed at you people. I’m ashamed actually. I’m really ashamed
of that kind of answer. I know of a prophet, with all the other prophets,
who talk about a man who overeats, who’s stingy, covetous, who has a stony
heart, and whose divine purpose is to proclaim a message that Babylon is
the cage of every foul, and unclean, and hateful bird. Even so much that
Isaiah testifies this man as being a ravenous bird from the east. The man
who executeth my counsel from a far country: saying, Yea, My counsel shall
stand, and I will do all my pleasure. Know what I mean? And you tell me
Balam? Balam is only in one record of the Bible, except when the New
Testament refers to when Micah refers to him. Micah refers to see what
Balam consulted of Balak, that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD .
And that refers back to that bird in the book of Micah that Isaiah also
foretells, right? So the one, nasty, dirty, filthy, lucrative prophet Balam
who prophesied of another in the last days in Numbers 25, what you gonna do
    - answer Balam, or answer the prophecies he foretells? Now again, Steve,
you’re a teacher. In your educated opinion, through all your years of
teaching and all that, explain to me why you think that God has permitted
this book of Jonah to be in the Bible. It ends with a very bad taste, in
regards to the way Christian character should be developed.

Steve: You about said it there. To show who is God’s people in the last
days, and in fact, it’s like the dream yesterday – all a bunch of devil
    worshipers -

    David: Well.

Steve: – that came to unclean and {unintelligible}birds and -

David: You mean to say that in the revelation of Jesus Christ, those who
are blessed with the full knowledge of this testimony, you’re saying that
God is to prepare a people in the last days to fulfill the prophecies of a
people scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning.
From the beginning hitherto. A nation meeted out. Most people who believe
in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as many of you have been, are people who
believe in a record of a man who’s done more divine miracles than any
testimony before. A man who was called God – the Son of God. Although works
were done and scriptures were quoted, nevertheless, the Bible student is
amazed to see in context these verses. The verses quoted by the New
Testament do not harmonize with the subject matter of the old. But that
again is an ignorant statement. We call the prophets the Old Testament, but
nevertheless, the Revelation of Jesus Christ, a book given in the last of
the New Testament states, That in the days of the voice of the seventh
angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished
    -

Class: As he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

David: Definitely the New Testament points to a record of the past, and not
because we’re ignorant willfully, but because God has chosen a better
wisdom for us. We are again to review the record of the past that we might
know what God has proclaimed for the last days. Common sense will verify
that through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John we can weed out what has been,
and what has yet to be. Common sense that is. You have to read. You have to
absorb. You have to understand. We had a dream the other morning and the
dream was placed upon tape, and after – how many days we been together so
    far?

    Class: Six – Five.

David: Five. Now class, honestly, many of you have been in different
churches, different denominations. How many of you can honestly say that
you have learned more conclusive reality scripture? In other words, how
many of you can say that you caught the vision of the prophecies more in
the past four or five days then you have all the rest of your professed
Christian lives? Now why is that? It’s because we have a duty and a
responsibility, or is it because we are supposed to be self deceived in the
fact that God gives us information, and we’re like a little piggy bank.
God’s gonna shake us at the end of time to see how much we have inside. Is
that what God does? Is His purpose for prophetic truth – is to put it
inside us, and see who receives? Huh? The penny represents eternal life,
huh? Is every new truth you learn supposed to be another little penny you
put in your bank, so God, at the end of the world can destroy all the empty
banks, and ah, this bank is all full of pennies. Huh? Is that the way God
does? Is it? It is! Judy!

    Judy: Well, I -

David: You’re the husband of a minister? You’re the wife of a minister?

    Judy: Sorry.

David: We’re supposed to daily be empty aren’t we. Empty of what we’re to
know. We receive that we might share. Now class, Steve has gone over with
you this morning the counsel given to the churches in Asia. But Matthew,
Mark, Luke, and John – believers of the scripture – are those who review a
testimony of 2,000 years ago. A miraculous work done for a generation whose
beginning started on the basis of one whore Mary Magdalene – who only with
one young boy John remained with the one who claimed to be the Son of God.
The others forsook him. We see a record of truth and how it feel in the
streets. It fell in the streets by the death of one who had foretold his
death. We see how men’s minds were not latched upon the divine statements
made by the one who only could give life, and only take it away. People
didn’t pay attention to the word. They did not listen to understand. People
possibly far more intelligent than us, and yet we today can be wiser in
that we see their failure to be our steppingstone. What they stumbled over,
we should walk over in clear light, shouldn’t we. But nevertheless, we
ourselves have the same problem – Adventism – denominationilism – the
movements who failed to progress into the ever unfolding ray of truth, the
spirit of prophecy – God’s purpose on earth. The prophets state clearly the
    Lord GOD will do -

Class: – nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the
    prophets.

David: And what secret are we dealing with? What secret are we dealing
with? Well, in the last days after we have received Matthew, Mark, Luke,
and John, Christ tells the Apostles, he does not tell the
Congregationalist’s, but the Apostles, those who through Acts, Romans, to
the book of Jude are consistently arguing, and fussing, and fighting to
their denominations to walk in the light as they have received. This is the
truth. The same spirit that proclaimed to Nineveh repent is the same spirit
in this divine government established on earth – the New Testament – to
instruct, and to prove, and to reprove the ministry – the ministry that was
ordained to teach the lessons taught by the prophets. What does Corinthians
say about the government of God?

Class: There are apostles and prophets.

    David: Then what?

    Class: Pastors, teachers, evangelists.

David: The Lutheran Church – where is their Apostle, and where is their
    prophets?

    Class: They don’t have any.

David: Well, Martin Luther is dead. The man who began with a vision is
passed away. Well, because of that there was additional light that came.
    Through who?

    Class: Knox.

David: John Knox. Think John Knox was a holy man?

    Class: No.

David: Do you think Jonah was? Do you think God was holy? You think God had
a purpose for the Lutheran Church? What was it? To increase in Christ.
Christ is the truth, Christ is the word. John Knox was given a commission
in 1547 wasn’t he? Who did he come to? Foreigners?

    Class: No.

David: His brethren. Who is his brethren?

    Class: Lutherans.

David: Lutherans. Who were the Lutherans? The real protesters weren’t they.
They were the protestant reform. Reform – they reformed from the darkness
of Catholicism. They reformed in that they chose not to follow the heresies
and the traditions of Rome, but to follow only the thus saith the Lord as
recorded in the word of God. Luther brought this out to them the just shall
live by faith as it is written, not as it’s prelated through the prelates,
huh? Now Luther died. Was Luther a good man?

    Class: No.

David: Not to our standard. What were some habits that Luther had in his
    day?

Class: Pork chops, cussing, beer drinking -

David: Beer drinking and cussing. What – does that make – he was a bad man?

    Class: No.

David: He was a good man in the light that he had, wasn’t he? That’s all
the light he had. All the light that was given to him in those days. Did he
faithfully give his message to the Nineveh of that time?

    Class: Yes.

David: Was he sad at heart when the Roman Catholic Church rejected his
    message?

    Class: Yes.

David: Yes, he was. Did he cuss at them?

    Class: Yes, at the leaders.

David: Did he get mad at God?

    Class: No.

David: Have you read some of his letters? He wondered why God didn’t wake
them up more. He was heartbroken. Did he enjoy Katherine Von Bora? He loved
the gourd God prepared for him, huh? Well, in those days Monks and Priests
didn’t marry, and when they finally uncovered that the Bishop had more than
one wife as the scripture said – of the five men in the Lutheran Church ah
    - of the Catholic Church, five or six guys got together, and just happened
to be about five or six nuns too. Just happened to be you know? God had
prepared a fish I guess. And they decided they were going to practice this
new strange Christian doctrine of marriage. Know what I mean? And Katie Von
Bora, she say’s she’s going with Luther. Luther, he was going to serve God.
He really didn’t want a wife, but she kind of chose him you see? It’s a
beautiful story. You should read it sometimes. He called her: ” My lord
Katie.” Why do you think that Luther enjoyed Katie – the work of God’s
hands – the truth as revealed in the Bible? Do you think he realized the
difference between the error of Catholicism – that is celibacy – which they
never really practiced, or do you think that he agreed that Genesis was a
true story of perfection when God said that man should not be one, huh? So
Luther finally found the God of creation didn’t he? Didn’t he? The God of
light. Let there be light, but Luther didn’t have all the light did he?

    Class: No.

David: No, he didn’t. But the light that he had was the light that he
followed for that time. Luther died. What did he die of?

    Class: Overeating.

David: Overeating. He didn’t know how to regulate his mouth, did he. That
had not yet been given to him yet huh? Back in those days when you used to
be sick, do you know what they prescribed to you? Food! You got a bellyache
you need to eat some food. Any kind of pain in the stomach was you were
hungry. Dark days in those days. Nevertheles when Luther died the voice of
inspiration died in the Lutheran Church – but did God leave the Lutheran
    Church alone?

    Class: No.

David: Did God ever leave Israel alone throughout all those thousands of
years? Did God {?} for Israel? Never. Has God ever left his church alone?

    Class: No.

David: Yes! For a period of time – for a period of time. But the prophets
had foretold that God would again let His light shine. Luther was the
beginning of that light. Here comes John Knox, thus saith the Lord. He
comes to his brethren. His brethren forsake him, and kick him out. Of
necessity, the just shall live by faith. But what was John Knox’s message?

Class: You must be born again.

    David: By what agency?

    Class: The Holy Spirit.

David: Faith without the experience of the spirit, that is, the trust in
God’s word proclaimed by God. That’s the only spirit you want. It was the
spirit of God, the one who speaks the word of God. There are many spirits -
many spirits, but those spirits are not backed up by God’s testimony. Today
we have many feelings. Satan has triumphed by getting men to react upon
feeling. Feeling is not spirit. God does not move men by feelings. You can
watch Pinochio when he becomes a little boy. You can get feelings. You can
sit and watch Christmas shows. God did not ordain Christmas – Rome did.
It’s not a truth of God, it’s a truth of Rome which is a lie in God’s
sight. You can have all kind of mixed emotions, and people say now because
it’s good it must be of God. That’s not what the Bible teaches. Jonah did
not feel good about going and proclaiming the message to Nineveh. John
Knoxs’ efforts were to show the church of Christ, those who had an ear to
hear, that the working of God’s spirit could be only based on the testimony
of God’s own word. What was not written was not the spirit of God. Did the
    majority of Lutherans accept?

    Class: No.

David: No, they thought that faith in God was just faith in God, and so
therefore they practiced many of their own habits, and yet had faith in
something they couldn’t see. Before, they had faith in things they could
see – Catholicism – the ceremonies and rituals of man, but now they went
overboard in the other direction. But now – God now was to wink at their
ignorance no longer. What saith the word? What saith God? What spirit
harmonizes with that spirit of God’s word? That’s what faith by the spirit
was to be – essential. Now after John Knox – of which the start of what
    denomination?

    Class: Presbyterian.

David: How come the Lutherans didn’t become Presbyterians? Because they
kicked John Knox out, didn’t they? And there had to be a necessity of new
name hadn’t there. Didn’t God change the names of Judaism over to
Christianity? And now the Lutheran Christians – after now – become
Presbyterian Christians – if they want to take on with the new ray on
light, right? Wesly is the next reformer after John Knox. He comes with a
prophetic message. What does he believe in? He believes in justification by
faith through the spirit – that is the testimony of God. But many who were
aware of God’s word, the spirit of God, were not really consistently
keeping what God’s word had to say. They were falling many times. But
nevertheless, found in this word by Wesly was a doctrine that the just
shall live by faith and not of themselves, right? It’s a gift of God -
God’s word. And were saved by -

    Class: Grace.

David: Grace. We may approve the things of God. We may see them clearly,
and understand God’s word, but does that mean we’re going to keep it
    consistently?

    Class: No.

David: No, so the effort and struggle of the human agent to take the body
and place it in submission to the will of God as revealed by the word -
that was the message of Wesly. Grace in that in your effort to conform by
the testimony of God, there is sufficient grace for you. Was not Paul the
Apostle a great workman for God? Paul talks about the thorn in his flesh
doesn’t he? Where’s that found Steve?

    Steve: Ah -

    David: Ah – ha!

    Steve: Corinthians – let’s see.

    David: Is it in Timothy?

    Steve: Yes.

David: The messenger of Satan to buffet him. Wicked conscience huh? And he
prayed to the Lord three times that this might be taken away from him. But
what did the Lord tell Paul?

Class: My grace is sufficient for you.

David: My grace is sufficient for you. Ok. I mean – we can’t all be perfect
every day can we? Ok. Now did the Presbyterians accept Wesly when he came
    with his message?

    Class: No.

David: No. So again of necessity – the Presbyterians who wanted to believe
    in Luther’s faith and in John Knox’s faith based upon only the word of God;
if they were to believe in Wesly’s faith their brethren would kick them out
    - and what denomination did this become? Huh?

    Class: Methodist.

David: Methodist. Now why do you think the Methodists had to finally become
the Baptists, and the Baptists become the Adventists, and the Adventists
become the Seventh-Day-Adventists, and the Seventh-Day – Adventists become

“Untimely Figs”

Note: this Study was conducted in August, and is placed here for archival reasons more than it is to emphasize doctrine.  Some the viewpoints I expressed, while all or part may remain my position, some may actually be subject to review, but due to the nature of the content, I highly suggest lending consideration.  Thank you,

Intro to Sabbath Study, 8/16/2008

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him,
 to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;
Rev 1:1 (a)

There is a condition which exists…a condition of a series of events no truly righteous soul wishes upon the world, yet likewise acknowledges these events “Must Needs Shortly Come To Pass.”  In this condition, is the knowledge passed down of terrible events in which one, while blessed by the truth may well be called to pay the ultimate price for the same.  With the desire to illustrate the love of JAH’ to the world, one does not wish to see the same world face judgement, to see His wrath as opposed to his love.  But the understanding is given first as the righteous are sealed…to understand these terrible things “must shortly come to pass.”  Such is a matter of “why” as opposed to “if,” or “when.”

To these “righteous” souls such is a source of “strength” to embrace the truth to the very end.  A secondary condition exists within this same condition, it is the same knowledge being presented to and embraced by a new generation, babes, caught into the truth, raptured out of a world of lies if you will.

RAPTURE:

“Rapture”, when used in eschatological terms, is an
English word used in place of the Latin word raptus;
taken from the
Vulgate, which in turn is a translation
of the
Koine Greek word harpazo, which is found in
the
Greek New Testament manuscripts of
1 Thessalonians 4:17. In many modern English
translations of the
Bible, harpazo is translated;
“caught up”, or “taken away”.
“Harpazo” \har-pad’-zo\
Koine Greek;
“forcibly snatched away”, “taken for oneself”.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapture

On the one hand a knowledge of the divine manifestation of Meshiach in the earth, and of the prophecy foretold for so long, brings with it, a joy to one coming to the same.  But with it, likewise new knowledge of the actual truth behind the ‘glimmers’ of
truth used as information to promote mainstream idealogies, which are false in the totality of their presentation, even while carrying within them an “essence” of the truth.  It is the essence, that ones soul connects to, knows in their genetic make up, in thier DNA coding back to the creation Adam, to be knowledge sent from God.  It is the very embracement of the same essence…”THE TRUTH”  which allows one to in embracing such and emptying themselves of the same, to be filled anew, and to be given more of the same essence, a greater imparttation of “The Truth.”

One soon realizes that, there has been a cover up, of grand proportions.  One sees the small shimmers of “Truth” in mainstream idealogies, and one sees past all of the divisions in the various groups presenting such ideas, to a unified force, driving the same idea, and using the truth by it’s very essence, to promote a lie.  A lie filled with various fantasies, which capture the imagination, leading many to embrace things which were not meant to be embraced with ignorance nor glee, such as “the Day of YHWH.”  One sees these “truths” being used not to enlighten to even the smallest shimmer of “truth” to the actual teaching of the Bible, nor even behind the minute elements being “borrowed,” but rather used to lead the world at large away from the very ability to recognize the greater collective truth which thier fantasies present in “essence”; that ability to know, to recognize the divine vistitation.

This knowledge brings joy, and often likewise indignation, at realizing how close one was to missing such information after having come to a knowledge of the truth, likewise a concern to evangelize a similiarly lost world; to reach those one loves and  and shares concerns for, to bring them to the same understanding.

The first Fantasy to be dispelled is already past, as the very Joy of realizing the prophecy of the return of YHWH to this world in the Flesh, that one in coming to the same, is now a minority, knowing the rest of the world to be greatly decieved.
As truth builds upon truth, one realizes the true condition of the world, the forces which drive it’s trends and fuel it’s lies, a generation of new lies to serve a pillar built with dry, crumbling bricks which supports the false doctrines of the estalished dogma, and the hopes promoted and drawn from the same to ideas which lead away from the truth.

But these are indeed…”HOPES”  and however false, or distorted, are likewise precious to the new convert…hopes which one likely has been embracing prior to this awakening, this process of being salvaged to the truth from a sea of uselessness with no true end but destruction; this “salvation” which has caused one to know the truth of the times, and true identity of the Meshiach.

There is as I noted in the original condition at the opening of this installment into this study, a secondary condition, the conflict which arises as one faces letting go of the lies….seemingly facing the prospect of coming to a point of reflecting having committed ”FORSAKING HOPE”…but the truth of the matter is to investigate to set one free to embrace the greater hope of the Actual Truth as the former myths are dispelled.

But as this occurs, there is in the conflict, the inner struggle, as noted.  With this struggle comes the temptation to embrace fomer “Hopes,”  which one knows to be false, but would rather wish to be true when confronted with the actual “TRUTH.“  A truth which seems grim, but such specualtion is born of fear of the unknown.  This leads to those who would forsake growth, but wish to simultaneously hold onto the path of truth they are forsaking and so they blend that truth they have learned, with former lies, to form a watered down “truth”.   Such action is built upon trying to graph a tree of oak, with splinter of iron, and the “grim” reality is actually  a tool of the adversary to cause doubt, and is no more a truth, than the notion that doing such could grow iron rods from an oak tree.

The temptation to do such, to turn back to the former truths, sets the very stage by which wheat are separated from tares, dividing those who actually wholeheartedly embrace “The Truth” from those who only embrace it in part, to whatever end or reason.  Such is the process of time as Yeshua himself is recorded to have noted to his disciples, that there is a point at which both wheat and tares appear identical, and to separate them one must allow them to “grow” together.

Of those embracing only in part, many reasons may persist for so doing, most prevalent is likely fear, as the condition of those embracing the truth in whole, sets the stage whereby they find themselves in need of comfort.  Such is the essence of Thessalonians chapter 4. Some when faced with this condition, this paradox of the joy of having come to the truth, knowing the former embracment of a lie, to the grim process of letting go, of forsaking what one has known, however “seemingly true” to lend consideration beyond ignorace, some for whatever reason abandon the Truth, and it’s pursuit. Content to consider themselves “studied” rather than to continue in Study, and in such contentment, the embracement of strikingly similair doctrines, still revealing…”Tares.”

This is the condition of emphasis, this paradox, this inner conflict, this process of growing pains.  One realizes just Who David Koresh is in light of the scriptures, and likewise can see that without an embracement in the first place of false mainstream notions of what the scriptures actually say, one likely would not have come to a knowledge of the ministry, the true ministry of David Koresh.

The stage becomes set, for those who grow in grace, babes to become infants, infants to become toddlers, toddlers to become children, a processs of maturing into completeness.

When faced with ‘whatever’ fear of the moment, some choose the sensation of security offered by the former things, but carry within them a greater knowledge of the truth than those things present.  In this embracement, the stage is set whereby one denying the process of truth, hiding from thier growing pain to reject whatever element YHWH has set before them as they reveal themselves not to have been wheat at all, but rather Tares.

The revelation of these Tares, the ability to know the difference between tares and the wheat to which they are identical in their adolesence, is derived from this very process of “growth.”

Once Identical, the “TARES” are revealed now only as “Similiar”…  but in an earnest search for wheat, “Similiar” is to those concerned with harvest…”Altogether Different.”

What becomes of the Tares? Well that is not the driving focus of this presentation, we are concerned here with our own salvation, our own process of “being Salvaged” to the truth.  But we should note this point of separation, and this condition of “similiarity” as a defining point whereby “Similiar” doctrines begin to form.  As the Tare, not wishing to acknowledge themselves as such, but rather aspiring to “BE WHEAT” do not acknowledge within themselves their point of separation, and continue on Growing, but no longer as “Wheat” to the harvest, and in thier growth, and the embracement of that essence which once presented them seemingly as wheat, combined with that embracement of the former which actually reveals them as tares…many “NEW DOCTRINES” are formed, blending old notions, with the actual truth…the result…false doctrines which contain only “the essence of the truth” and as they divide further and further away, that essence diminishes, hence a watering down of the truth which serves to blind future generations from acknowledging the truth when it presents itself, whether that be a visit from God or otherwise.  And to successive generations, this watering down of the truth has brought us full circle now to see us at both the end and beginning of a process to our own positions respectively.

So…what makes one wheat…? The answer is nothing.

That is, nothing of themselves, as salvation is truly a gift.  It is within the makeup of wheat to embrace the truth for sake of the truth, moreso than any application of the same to itself. Wheat does not seek to be anything, it is merely what it is…Wheat.  It would seem that the tare embraces qualities of Wheat, but is concerned with the truth only as it applies to themselves and their hopes of being wheat, but revealing such to be driven by the embracement of the sensationalism of wheat” for so long as such holds thier attentions, I speak of course Metaphorically.

In truth as it applies to nature, to the actual grains, Tares have with them the hopes of “being wheat” but
while this hope is “with” them, it is not “within them” as they likewise merely are what they are…”tares.”

This hope of tares to be wheat, is external, and placed upon them by those doing
the harvesting, by those who desire wheat,
and theirs are another level of concern to their own calling.

Now if you have found it within yourself to actually have read this far, rather than merely scanning for headlines, you certainly have not found the aforementioned to be “tiring,” but rather such has served to hold your interest to this point,  an introduction as we continue the study of America in Prophecy, as we now look at “Untimely Figs.”

Our emphasis here is to see the past with clarity, not so much for seeing the future as it would apply to worldly gain, but to a confirmation of the truth of the promise offered by the Scriptures as we realize the truth of our present condition.

This confirmation is to offer hope, not to serve not as joy by which we see others as less than ourselves, dismissing their persons, and ourselves to be content with thier destruction while we hope for a better condition than what we have, but to calm us as we tremble at where we actually exist, to help us understand, that while we would rather stay as we are, and forsake any further joys to our own inheritance. This calming to our souls combats the temptation in that such forsaking might spare this world from that which makes us “tremble,” enabling us with understanding to embrace the truth, for sake of the same.

Calm us from hoping against the truth, as we realize that which had to be noted to the 7 churches of Asia, that no matter how much we harbor hopes against coming darkness…no matter how much we would be rather tempted to embrace fairy tales to avoid the truth of that to come,  with maturity, we embrace the truth of our times, not embracing this coming darkness, not gleefully wishing the same upon our neighbors, but noting the times as they truly are and undertanding such “MUST shortly come to pass.”

Hal Lindsey offers the following statement:

“This is a difficult question, mostly because it has such a difficult answer. I love my country, and I’d love to find references to it in the last days. But it isn’t there.”

Mr. Lindsey is incorrect, as YHWH was as much aware of America to this timeframe as GOG and Magog.  I wonder how Mr. Lindsey’s statement would have served in the promotion of his best selling book in the 80’s “THE LATE GREAT PLANET EARTH.”  My library is packed away at the moment, but I believe it is in there, I certainly know I owned the book, and recall many references to Scripture being applied to America in God’s Prophetic timeline as Mr. Lindsey saw such at that timeframe.  The book noted many events of present concern during America’s Cold War with Russia, at a time when everyone was tense from childhood on, to be concerned of someone “pushing THE Button.”

Mr. Lindsey offers a single page online, much less in volume than his “Late Great” Cash crop series of books.  You can read his offering of America in Prophecy in about 5 minutes to see an opposing viewpoint of this subject.

During the 1970s, the rapture became popular in
wider circles, in part due to the books of
Hal Lindsey,
including The Late Great Planet Earth, which has
reportedly sold between 15 million and 35 million copies
and by the movie “A Thief in the Night” which based its
title on the scriptural reference 1 Thessalonians 5:2.[12]
Lindsey proclaimed that the rapture was imminent, an
idea that he based on world conditions at the time.
The
Cold War and the European Economic Community
figured prominently in his predictions of impending
Armageddon.
Other aspects of 1970s global politics were seen as having
been predicted in the
Bible. Lindsey suggested, for example,
that the seven-headed beast with ten horns, cited in the
Book of Revelation, was the European Economic Community,
a forebear of the
European Union, which at the time
aspired to ten nations; it now has 27 member states.

In 1995, the doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation rapture was
further popularized by
Tim LaHaye’s book series, Left Behind,
which sold tens of millions of copies and was
made into several movies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapture

Note the author of the aforementioned wikipedia article seemingly has
overlooked certain facts which would reveal William Miller, while credited
as having set a date for “the rapture” never did, he did note significance
upont the timeframe but it was those in Joshua Himes Camp of publishers who sensationalized the Teachings of William Miller and set a date publcly in opposition to William Miller’s views on the same matter.  Such an article as the one above does however note that in the 70’s as the truth of The Feminine nature of the Holy Spirit was being presented by Lois Roden and shortly after promoted by other denominations…the world was such in a place to embrace aspects of the truth, but then reject the less appealing aspects of the same to formualte and embrace “watered” down versions of the truth.  As I said, I have owned Mr. Lindsey’s best selling book, seen the movies in the “Distant Thunder” series including “A Thief in the night.”  And I witnessed many buy into the same notions.  I recall quite clearly Mr. Lindsey’s writing in the mid 80’s offering quite a different view of whether or not America could be seen in Bible Prophecy.

So here we are, we know the world has been Deceived of the person of David Koresh, we know we have witnessed the world being exposed to lies, propaganda and cover up in the matters of David Koresh and his followers in 1993.  We likewise realize
the same of the actual person of David Koresh and note our present timeframe and the events we ourselves have seen unfold before our very eyes.  So again the question to which we asked as we considered on July 26, 2008 in the Study on America in Prophecy

and again on August 2nd, 2008

The question of pertainence…Where ARE WE NOW?  WHERE IN LIGHT OF SCRIPTURE ARE WE NOW IN THE PROPHETIC TIMELINE OF YHWH’?

“UNTIMELY FIGS”

Previously when addressing this question, be began in Nahum, to look to Revelations, now at this time, we begin in Revelations to look to the past, to see America in a direct parallel position to ancient Assyria, to see the modern application to our timeframe.  Some would dispute “modern applications” of ancient prophecies, but such is the very salvation of the apostle Matthew, likewise Luke, John, Mark even to Paul…to understand scripture in it’s present application, to recognize the time of Divine Visitation, in the face of so much opposition and tradition.

As we consider recent events we Watch faithfully, and we pray, uncertain of the times…maybe,
maybe not, at the very least we note  A STRONG FORESHADOW, and we consider
The actual fulfillment of Prophecy before our very eyes.

To place the recent events of our current timeframe, the summer of 2008, into
perspective with the observations of this study, one should note that posted on
“And There APPEARED IN HEAVEN A WOMAN…”

The Lord said by Balaam (Num 24:17),

“There shall come  a star out of Jacob,
And a sceptre shall rise out of Israel.”

“VIRGO is represented as a woman with a branch in her right hand, and
some ears of corn in her left hand. Thus giving a two-fold testimony of the
Coming One.
The name of this sign in the Hebrew is Bethulah, which means
a virgin, and in the Arabic a branch. “(1)

“Thomas Hyde, an eminent Orientalist (1636-1703), writing on the
ancient religion of the Persians, quotes from ABULFARAGIUS
(an Arab Christian Historian, 1126-1286), who says that ZOROASTER,
or ZERDUSHT, the Persian, was a pupil of Daniel the Prophet, and that
he predicted to the Magians (who were the astronomers of Persia), that
when they should see a new star appear it would notify the birth of a
mysterious child, whom they were to adore. It is further stated in the
Zend Avesta that this new star was to appear in the sign of the Virgin.” (1)

“Thus the brightest star in VIRGO (a) * has an ancient name, handed
down to us in all the star-maps, in which the Hebrew word Tsemech is
preserved. It is called in Arabic Al Zimach, which means the branch.” (1)

“In the Zodiac in the Temple of Denderah, in Egypt, about 2000 BC (now in Paris),
she is likewise represented with a branch in her hand, but ignorantly explained
by a false religion to represent Isis! Her name is called Aspolia, which means
ears of corn, or the seed, which shows that though the woman is seen, it is
her Seed who is the great subject of the prophecy.” (1)

Virgo August 23–September 22

This is the timeframe we consider as the month of Virgo.  But such is an idea
infulenced by 3 main groups dating back to Babylonian Astrology
and it’s enforcing it’s sciences and beliefs upon the Hebrews.
Today we condider other sources noting the timeline, not for sake of
their practices of divinations, but moreso to their relevance to  the topic.
Modern Tropical Astrology and Hebrew Kabbalah
place great emphasis on such things.  That having been noted, while Science
is credited  to observe a different pattern and purpose than Astrology,
Astronomy is credited to have originated with the Babylonians who mingled
the same sciences with astrology, and for witchcrafts and divinations.
In our present day, the sum total of the 3 prevalent groups combined for noting
the timeframe of Virgo, is about 44 and a half days, debated between August 10
and October 15/30, depending upon the calcualations and influences and purposes
 of those noting the timeframe.

“THERE APPEARED A WOMAN IN HEAVEN”

King James Version: Revelation Chapter 12

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun,

and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

NOTE John says “THERE APPEARED A WOMAN IN HEAVEN.”

Virgo, was not a constellation in John’s Day, but there was the
goddess virgo, known then as Dike, and likewise there was a
constellation of Draco the Serpent, and The Romans in John’s day,
worshipped Minerva who was part of a “holy triad” also a prevalent
belief system in John’s Day amongst Roman groups.

Minerva was “the virgin goddess” who was said
to have slain Draco and cast him into the stars.  Surely John had the foresight
to know in his noting the song of Moses and the lesson it teaches, of
an event of which we now witness to those having occurred of 321-325 A.D.
in relation to one who would “change the times and the laws” as forewarned
in Daniel chapter 7, as witnessed by Daniel in Chapter 6, and reflected on
in his study of Jeremiah.  Surely he had the foresight to note such things
in light of the rise of the Minerva Cult’s popularity in his day, with it’s
parallels to the virgin birth of his master, and the prophecies of
Daniel, prophecies which noted a time in which the Name of God
would be cast to the ground.  Note in verse 2 of Revelations 12,
a matter of a woman with child is noted.

The Woman may well have been a prophecy based upon understanding
past generations, knowing that several times prior the region in which the
Star appeared in Bethlehem, would have formerely on several occaisions
been referenced as a woman image constellation.  Though such was not
the case in the Roman Empire.  Surely John had the exoposure to know
that Minerva, was said to have slain Draco and cast him into the stars.
Interesting that the doctrine of the Trinity has done so much to point
people away form the truth of the FATHER/MOTHER image along with
the son in the Family of YHWH  of the Creation
account of Genesis 1, noting an ALL MALE TRINITY in their promotion
of doctrines which stray from the truth.  Interesting that this Doctrine
was, and continues to be a pinnacle of the Roman Empire,
the HOLY Roman Empire, as Catholocism is referred to.

While Minerva was affiliated with Virgo, it would not have been as Common
a knowledge save to one educated in the Hebrew history and scriptures
as John no doubt was in 90 a.d. to know that while there a star that had appeared
in the east once, hailing the arrival of Yeshua, much sensationalized, as Chritianity was
growing, yes that likely was a growing knowledge too, but I referred to
more uncommon knowledge such as the fact that there was no constellaition
of Virgo in John’s day.  But that star is said to have appeared in COMA,
in one familiar with the history of an ongoing attack upon the feminine
gender of the God Family, would know that while the Romans did not
observe a constellation relating to a Woman in the region of COMA,

“The Egyptians knew Virgo as Isis, the Goddess of Fertility. Some say
Virgo originated in Egypt. They worshiped Virgo’s brightest star, Spica,
the stellar symbol of the wheat she holds. ” (9)

The Hindus saw Virgo as Kauni, or “the Maiden.”
The Persians prior to the Greeks who were prior to the Romans
called her Khosha, or “the Ear of Wheat.”
“The Hebrews called her Bethulah, meaning “Abundance in Harvest.”(7)

“There are many identities represented by the constellation Virgo,
all of them related to maidens, purity and fertility.”(8)

And they all, prior to the Romans noted observance of “A WOMAN”
in the stars in the region of COMA in relation to their belief sets.

AND While the Romans did not observe a constellation relating to a maiden
they did have a constellation which formed a bull, one whose tail
was represented as having a sheave of wheat…

”the wheat ear (depicted on the bull’s tail)
is Spica (= Alpha Virginis, a proxy for Virgo)”(10)

Now while the Romans did not have a “Virgo” constellation,
they did have a “Draco” which was represented by a Serpent.
And later came to have the same meaning as “DRAGON.”

Again, recall that a woman was forecast to appear in Heaven,
and note of “Virgo”
“She has been seen as Minerva the Roman Goddess of Wisdom
known as Athena to the Greeks.”(6)

And Minerva, in John’s day was popularly believed to have been responsible for
slaying draco, and casting him into the stars, hmmm…”A Dragon, Appearing
in heaven.”

an image in Heaven with a “TAIL” that Drew (caused to fall) a
1/3 part of the Stars, an image tied to the timeframe of Virgo…

1/3 also a possible reference to Minerva cults and Virgo. As Minerva
was 1/3 of a “trinity” doctrine.
Like any evangelist, John would have familiarized himself with the
prevalent religions in order to witness to them, and to understand his
adversaries tactics against him.

The emphasis here to note the Virgin and the Dragon, is to point
to the Child carried by the Virgin, and to note the child in opposition
to the dragon image, the Serpent image.

Consider the prophecies of Daniel, and note this
Map of Virgo in Relation to DRACO  consider the King of the North and the King of the South,
likewise Christ coming from the South and A Messenger from the East…Virgo is in the Southeastern Sky

NOW WE CONSIDER AGAIN  THE IMAGE OF JOHN in Revelations 12,
We note an attack of the egyptians upon the person of the Holy Spirit, of the
Persians, now what of this woman’s child?  Well consider..

Consider that John in his writitngs presents an issue of a woman with a name
written upon her forehead.  In the days of John there was a rising popularity
of an obsucre religion, one which was a very secretive society, much like the
Masons of today.

Mithras cult…a Mystery Cult
“Roman Mithraism was a mystery-religion that had a unique development
that was quite separate from its earlier history in Iran, India, and Upper Mesopotamia.
It gained a widespread following in the Roman Empire during the first four centuries
of the present era, especially in the Roman army. ” (11)

Constantine who sought to create a “universal” religion, (the word
Catholic means “universal”) after his conversion to Christianity,
came from the Cult of Mithros.  Consider now many scholars
note that Christ was likely born near Fall or Spring, and many note
the possiblity of September.  Such was pointed out to myself and
an entire class of preacher boys by Jack Schaap at Hyles-Anderson
Bible college, and such was the first time I ever heard anything
of that likes.
I later would learn that Mithros was supposedly born of a Virgin
and walked the earth about 300 B.C….this is not too far from the
time frame of the fall of Babylon.  Likewise, Mithros has a Birthday
which to no dispute of any present finding on my part, is reported
to be DECEMBER 25th.
Now whether that December is the 12th month we now observe
or the 10th month (Deca=ten) it orginally observed which falls in
line with our current month of October (octa=eight) which
was the noted timespan of the fall of Babylon to Cyrus,
we can not delve into here at this time.

What we can do is further note the events of Daniel’s timespan
as they related to John’s, that we may observe John’s as it relates
to ours and we lead into our next focus on the Untimely Figs of
Revelations chapter 6, and the appearance of “stars falling from
Heaven” in conjunction with the annual Perseids meteor shower.

“Magus or magi were a member of the Zoroastrian priestly caste of the Medes and
Persians, after the rise of Zoroaster (Greek name), whose real name was
Zarathustra (Persian) and he founded Zoroastrianism in 500 B.C.    The ancient
Greeks and Hebrews knew them as astrologers, interpreters of dreams, and givers
of omens.    These Magi or wise men (sages) from the East traveled to Bethlehem
to pay homage to the infant Jesus.    Whatever it may have been, as you know it
resulted in the story of the Wise Men (Magi), who selected one particular star and
followed it to the place where the baby Jesus lay. ” (12)

Now here having noted the possible spiritial implications of such references
in light of the historical, we now add the PHYSICAL and recall the event of
this past week, the annual Persieds Metoer shower, an annual event which
unites us to John, John to Daniel, Daniel to Moses and all to one another,
as all would have been able to observe such.  We look now at a more
Practical application, noting that Science, did not start with the Babylonians,
as ALL truth flows from YHWH.

Now here today, August 30th, I update this message to those who cared enough to
investigate.  Such an attitude demonstrates maturity. I present a gift to you,
the knowledge that I have a few remaining audio sermons left.  I don’t promise to
share them all, but I will share some or most, and eventually, yes, maybe all.
Some of the content requires maturity to see past sensationalism of certain
statements which have already been taken out of context and used to attack
the Branch Davidians, and requires maturity to grasp
the greater truth being offered.

Maturity…one of the sermons has a side two which is only about 30 to 39 minutes
long, maybe more, but not much, possibly less.  It is of such poor quality that
it took me nearly two hours to listen to it, winding, and rewinding, placing my
ear all the way against the speaker, and at the end of the process, glad I had
as the information was relevant to that on side one, and it was also pertinent
to placing side one into proper perspective.
The Chinese have a word for a book owned but not read…”paperweight.”

You see, one has to truly care about the truth, for sake of the truth, in order
to find it.  If you are reading this for the first time, this addendum, then simply
note you liked the study, or at least found it interesting on the message boards
and I will take note, but do not share this with those who would not care
to know it for themselves, who would not care to show the diligence to
seek the truth.

UPDATED SEPTEMBER 13th 2008:
Here is the link to the Audio Sermon (TITLE OMITTED)You can hear it, and it is much
clearer on the original tape than it is here, I will try to reconvert it again after
Sabbath and if so will place an additional link to the Clearer copy should I
succeed.  This one is one of the shorter ones.  I remind you again, that these
are offered as reward to the diligent.  Even if your purpose is in opposition to the
work of David Koresh, you will have to be diligent if you are to acquire these from me.
And in such, you will be exposed to the message God has me give in the timeframe
to the continued support of David Koresh and his ministry.  For those sharing
similiar loyaties as myself,  again, please honor the request made in the preceeding
paragraph. From this time forward, if you like to comment on the Audio sermon, simply
name it, and your comment,  but do not point further to this study at this time.
Those who wish to catch up, shall have to do so.

LINK TO (TITLE OMITTED) HAS BEEN REMOVED.

UPDATE OCTOBER 7th, 2008
Goto this link

This link above, is the most recent Sabbath Study.
I often make references to other posts, and emails.
Due to the lenght involved, as we are talking about 3 years of
Correspondance, I make many references to Excerpts.  BUT I ARCHIVE
EVERYTHING…AND I MEAN EVERYTHING FROM MY EMAIL, and most Recently,
I spent half a day, actually and entire night doing likewise with my posts.

The reason I do this, is for sake of clarity.  It is easy for people to misquote themselves
to accuse others of the same.  In this, it is easy for one to make implied
statements which are false, and misleading, without actually lying verbatim.
Likewise, it is easy in having such archived, to offer the truth in such matters.

I have a lot of issues of concerns of posts being altered and deleted.
Those reading this now, have been paying attention.  You no doubt
witnessed at least one of these occasions in progress.

I will convert another audio sermon by Friday.  I was going to wait until Monday,
prior to the High Sabbath of Tabernacles, a feast which honors the very
name of God, to release such.
Still might, it will be placed in the link above.  Such link has been placed on
the Return of Koresh Message board to the Sabbath Study of this past weekend,
for reasons you will understand when reading.

While some may find their way to this post in searching, I will not make any more
references to this post with these updates in it.  I suggest you copy the link.
I will announce the audio sermon to be contained in a link which will be added
to the Sabbath study at the link above, and here in this update
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddh48qj_73ckcqp8gm

I ask again, you honor that requested of you in the first update to this study, and
you should check back here again after October 22, periodically until I tell you otherwise in
these matters. This update will have the links removed from it within 24 hours.
Good Luck to those paying heed. (last 2 sentences of this paragraph removed 40 minutes APPROX
beyond set deadline)
-Steve

 (aug 30 update contd)
There is no link to any audio sermon in this study now, which you have not
already been given, but I will soon, start hiding links to new audio sermons
not posted previously, in future Sabbath Studies.  For those who cared enough
to read, thank you for your consideration, I hope you have been blessed,
and I encourage you, to continue reading the rest of this study. These links
may be time sensative, and possibly removed within a couple of days or so after
being posted. So if you are visiting now, and the links have been placed, and are
no longer active, well Keep seeking, but if you had the opportunity to read
this as it was presented, not just the first time, but rather counselled you of
the Spirit on Aug 30 to view again, well take such into consideration.

 *******************************************************************************************
it should be noted here that last summer, a small group of those who actually both read my posts, and lend true consideration, at least to that timeframe were given a link, one placed in plain view on the Mt. Carmel DB, still there as of a week or two ago as well, and what is noted here was noted then, I began to place Sabbath Studies in a separate location from the Mt. Carmel DB.  Within this particualr study, is the following selection.  As after having placed the study once, and by now you realize it to be  a long albeit attention keeping study, I had requested on the Mt Carmel DB that that for a Sabbath Study, those keeping up, go back and re-read this study in it’s new location, those who did, found this update, and in it links to Audio Sermons by David Koresh which were not placed on the MT. Carmel DB, nor placed publicly anywhere else as they contained mature and potentially controversial content.  By my request, those paying attention, acknowledged having found this, and in a fashion so as to keep from revealing such to those not paying attention, thier reward I felt was two fold, reading again this study, and finding as well a link to an audio sermon.  Those links were time sensative, and have since been removed from this post though still active and in the posession of myself and those who found them.  I still have 3 or 4 sermons I have not posted, some highly controversial, and may not be posted at all, but if they are, the links will be placed here, and suggestions to visit this post will be made on the Mt. Carmel DB.  As in the past, the links will be time sensative, and I will set a deadline, to which upon it’s passing I will remove them from here.  Below are past updates left here, at the end of which this study will resume itself.  Thank you,
-Benjamin
UPDATE JANUARY 13, 2009

“Conversations with you, and a Conversation with a Survivor, Where did David Koresh actually stand on Revelations 13

Ok, this won’t take long, for those just getting here for the first time, a big round of applause, you really had to seek, congradualtions.  If you were here in the summer, copy and paste this update into an email, send it to me with a genuine request for missing links to the audio sermons you missed, and I may well oblige you.  God, is in the saving business.

TO those paying attention, WELCOME BACK!  It’s been a while eh’?

Okay this will be brief but only at this time, when you see the phrase “untimely figs” in the near future perhaps a couple weeks or so, on the Mt. Carmel Discussion Board, that will be your cue, return here to read the updated conversation.  The Reason this will be brief, is that I want to accurately tell you what was taught by DAVID KORESH on this subject, but I feel it is very sensative information and wish not to publicize so openly as the discussion board, and as in times past, request likewise that you do the same.  And the brief nature here is to caption quickly what Clive said in highlight rather than detail, saving the detail for the next discussion at which time, I should have a very detailed grasp of what he has to say on the subject of latter day prophecy taught under David concerning revelations 13, and 17.  Now at such time, when you come here, a link will be provided, as the topic will be lenghty enough to justify it as a Sabbath Study.  For now I will bullet list points already discussed in further detail, or in contrast to my entire contribution to the post “The Coming Sunday Mark” by Blinky Posted by blinky on January 12, 2009, 12:48 pm at the following link.

OF which I will archive for my own records, and suggest you do likewise.  Goto your browser, and find a button called “PAGE” and click, when a list of options pops up, click
“Save page as”  and select “Html Archive”  this will document the page exactly as it was seen on a particular date of the saving operation. And can be viewed offline, but likewise emailed later.  You may wish to save in other format options provided as well.

THE BULLET LIST:
(this update will be removed Tuesday, February 3rd) and while I am here…Please pray for Los Angeles.
(BMSIAD–GHD, NBEOTSLMWRTALARJC—TBOTPHCUBTFOTW–WAP)
The Bullet list here, refers to a conversation I had with Clive.  I felt the infomation to perhaps be sensative, as belonging to a certain group of people, and recall a sermon by David Koresh in which he notes info to the Students there, citing it as survival info for a time which was yet to come, and that for those who would reveal such to the wrong group of people would be “Like unto Judas.”  Therefore, leaving time that only the most diligent may perhaps find this conversation, I will give it until Tuesday on the BDSDA site, at which time it will be removed that it may only be found in a location only the most diligent may find it.  This is a continuation to a conversation started on The Mt. Carmel DB with regards to Latter day Doctrine of  Revelations 13…from a thread which highlighted a conversation which replied to viewpoints offered by “Blinky” on the same Chapter of The Book of Revelation.
OK… as to Jerusalem or Israel, the current Modern Zionist state, Clive didn’t use those words, and he doesn’t recall David saying such, but he states that another survivor, one looked to as an authority on doctrine, emphatically recalls David citing this, and has stated such to Clive.  Emphasizing that Modern Israel would be the Two Horned Beast of Revelation 13.

Now, as to the two timeframes between the first beast of Revelation 13 and the beast of Revelation 17, I am still a little unclear on the position that Clive stated David in his memory took on the first Beast, but I know it is a current system.   America, hiding under the guise of the United Nations will invade Israel, under a guise of peacekeeping, but nonetheless, it will be an occupying force.  They will rape the women there, and defile the Hebrews, trying to impose Christianity upon them, not true Christianity as we know it, but that false Beast system we kn’ow, which encapsulates the Catholics, the Baptists, The protestants…etc.  NOW, this Clive says, Scripture records that God says that is like poking a finger in God’s eye.  This will cause Christ to come down to Earth in the Flesh, and America, the USA under guise of THE UNITED NATIONS FORCES,  the NATIONS mentioned in Zecheriah 14, in the opening verses who go against Israel, will be DRIVEN OUT…this will be a deadly blow against the head of the Beast…it hasn’t happened yet, according to Clive, and this blow will DESTROY CAPITOLISM…hence the reason the Merchants will weep, because nobody will buy thier mercandise any more, (REV 18) AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE FIRST BEAST IN REVELATIONS 13 RECIEVES THE DEADLY WOUND.  THIS WILL ALSO BRING AN END TO THE fALSE CHRISTIANDOM.  CHRIST IN JERUSALEM, WILL BE CALLED THE ANTI CHRIST BY THE ARMIES OF THE WORLD HAVING BEEN CHASED OUT.  HE could have destroyed them all, but he didnt’,  this was not his wish, but the beast system  will not repent, rather they harden their hearts calling him anti christ and the 3rd world countries will align with the whore, but they hate her, they despise her christiandom, and they far outnumber her in thier Isalam, Muslim and Hindu religions, but they tolerate her, and in truth, the prominent Jewish influence now Here, will turn upon Israel, to embrace the Oil bearing countries as Israel will have nothing they desire, but then the rain is withheld.   And following that, famine comes.
Still the beast system and those in it do not repent, though God is willing that they should, and if they will, well they will be saved, and in truth, many will, as America “THE ASSYRIAN” will have a HIGHWAY to Jerusalem, and many will be saved encouraged to bring in thier loved ones.  And the Kingdom known in Israel who chased out the NATIONS (UN/USA) will grow and other nations will align to Jerusalem and Christ.  Not only does he come down but his bride also, manifest in the flesh.  And this is what become the object of Satans desire to have sex with her, and his pursuit of her will be his undoing, and he will be bound, and limited and lose his power.

The 3rd world nations will hate the whore, and forsake her at some point, but America will not be utterly destroyed, as a highway mentioned previously will come of her, to Jerusalem.  Still the 3rd world Arab states will grow concerned at the growing Jerusalem kingdom, and the former 2nd Beast of Reve 13, having lost the power of the first, will try to resurrect a new kingdom and will succeed, this beast power, with 7 heads will be a religion, but not like the modern christianity now known, rather, this Beast will sit on many waters as well, but will be a new religion at which all lost will marvel, meanwhile the saved continue to align with jerusalem.  The Arab states will join the new beast system of Rev 17 controlled by the two horned lamb like beast of Rev 13 and AND ALL NATIONS WILL RISE AGAIN AGAIST JERUSALEM, because they all, failing to pay tribute to Christ in travelling to Jerusalem for Succoth, will suffer famine as Christ will stop the rain, and the wicked of those nations will see many starve and die, as Jerusalem and those with her prosper and get rain and live.  They will hate Jerusalem all the more, and finally will still fail to pay homage, and plague will be sent, at which point, they will likely die.  But all along the way, God has offered, chance after chance, and many will accept, but many will die.

WOW huh?  If you have been paying attention, and you made it here, please, email me, let me know, God bless all who made it here, and those still trying.

 ********************************************************************************************

Now back
to our regularly scheduled Sabbath Study…

A WOMAN WITH CHILD TRAVAILING TO GIVE BIRTH
The prophecy of Yeshua

2000 years ago,  a Star appeared in the East,
COMA, the constellation of (in the Lap of  what is now
Virgo, what was priorly on several occaisions before
the Roman Empire named a Female Constellation,
but in the Roman Empire was a
Sheaf of Wheat in a Bulls Tail image)

Many try to say it is Polaris.  Others specualte COMA.

“It is difficult to separate the Virgin and her Seed in the prophecy; and so, here, we
have first the sign VIRGO, where the name points to her as the prominent subject;
while in the first of the three constellations of this sign, where the woman appears
again, the name COMA points to the child as the great subject. “(1)

“It was in all probability the constellation of Coma in which
“the Star of Bethlehem” appeared. There was a traditional
prophecy, well-known in the East, carefully preserved and
handed down, that a new star would appear in this sign when
He whom it foretold should be born. “….
“Thomas Hyde, an eminent Orientalist (1636-1703), writing on the
ancient religion of the Persians, quotes from ABULFARAGIUS
(an Arab Christian Historian, 1126-1286),
who says that ZOROASTER, or ZERDUSHT, the Persian,
was a pupil of Daniel the Prophet, and that he predicted to
the Magians (who were the astronomers of Persia), that when
they should see a new star appear it would notify the birth of a
mysterious child, whom they were to adore. It is further stated
in the Zend Avesta that this new star was to appear in the sign
of the Virgin. Some have supposed that this passage is not genuine.
But whether it was interpolated before or after the event, it is equally
good evidence for our purpose here. For if it was written before the
event, it is evidence of the prophetic announcement;
and if it was interpolated after the event it is evidence
of the historic fact “(1)

“THE WOMAN AND  A GREAT RED DRAGON APPEARING IN HEAVEN”

Now some would fling accusations for delving into Astronomy, and
let me emphasize here, the purpose is for Observance to the present
conditions…to note the timeframe we are in, that we may OBSERVE,
that we may WATCH…and not to make divinations as the astrologers
of Babylon.  The very Sun, Moon and stars were created to this Purpose
by the divine hand…consider…

Genesis 1:14-19

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide
the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons
, and for
days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon
the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the
lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars
also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light
upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light
from the darkness
: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

“The moon orbits the earth in a roughly circular path, taking about one
month from start to finish. In fact, that is where we get the idea for a
“month.” According to Scripture, one of the reasons God created the
celestial bodies was to be for signs, seasons, days, and years
(Genesis 1:14)—in other words, to mark the passage of time.
The moon does just that. It continually orbits the earth every
month with clockwork precision.” (13)

“The zodiac also means a region of the celestial sphere that includes
a band of eight arc degrees above and below the ecliptic, and therefore
encompasses the paths of the Moon and the naked eye planets
(Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn). The classical astronomers
called these planets wandering stars to differentiate them from the
fixed stars of the celestial sphere (Ptolemy).” (28)

TODAY…

“VIRGO is represented as a woman with
a branch in her right hand, and some
ears of corn in her left hand. Thus giving a two-fold
testimony of the Coming One.
The name of this sign in the Hebrew is Bethulah,
which means a virgin,
and in the Arabic a branch. “(1)

 (15)
The Earth in its orbit around the Sun causes the Sun to appear on the celestial
sphere moving over the ecliptic (red), which is tilted on the equator (blue).
The earth in line with Draco and “cloaked” by the sun, placing the moon at
the feet of what is now Virgo

Now consider that the image of Virgo as Astronomers note such,
is comprised of 11 points representing Messier Objects of Virgo,
The elliptical and Spiral Galaxies which comprise the image.
But such is a reference set from Genesis to our purpose for noting
times and seasons ON THE EARTH.

There is a twelfth Galaxy to consider…the very origin for the point of
reference to which such observation applies…OUR OWN Galaxy.
The term Solar System comes from the SOL system, Sol is a
reference to the Babylonian sun god.  And while every galaxies sun
in the messier objects of Virgo have names…modern astronomers
while naming every star in sight, do not recognize our sun as having
a name, but merely refer to it as “THE SUN.”  Now
This ommission of considering our own galaxy in relation to our
observance of the constellation of Virgo, masks our sun, clothes it
if you will, but in recognition of such forms a 12 star.
Note that scripture notes “A CROWN OF TWELVE STARS
AT HER HEAD.”
The popular image of Virgo is not the same observed by Astronomers,
The eleven star systems they observe, form ‘THE BODY” of the image of
Virgo.  There are actually 15 points in the image, the other 5 forming
the head of the image of the maiden image observed in astrology.
Astronomers note the Body, because  all of the points which form
the image are actually Stars…even in the body,

 (16)

some illustrations show more than 11 points,

but THERE ARE NOW, ONLY 11 GALAXIES are in the formation of the
BODY of the image,

Messier Objects of Virgo (19)

  • M49 (elliptical galaxy)
  • M58 (spiral galaxy)
  • M59 (elliptical galaxy)
  • M60 (elliptical galaxy)
  • M61 (spiral galaxy)
  • M84 (elliptical galaxy)
  • M86 (elliptical galaxy)
  • M87 Virgo A (elliptical galaxy)
  • M89 (elliptical galaxy)
  • M90 (spiral galaxy)
  • M104 The Sombrero Galaxy (spiral galaxy)

and Our Sun, Called by many names by various pagan
religions along the way,
Baal, SOL, Apollo,Mithros, Today it is now called merely “THE SUN”
and it serves to clothe the mystery of Revelations 12, to
our earth by the fact of  those who
fail or omit to observing it relating  to being a part of the Virgo
image as a point of reference, and our sun when considering
orientation, and points of reference
 IS A TWELFTH STAR System
to Virgo, if only undebatebly by passing through the
alignment once a year.  Note the truth of Malachi 4, to “The Sun” rising
“with healing in his wings” in Service to YHWH, not as the object of
worship of false cults.

So When YOU CONSIDER OUR SUN in this timeframe
approaching in relation to that same
constellation  YOU HAVE 12 Stars…not Eleven
AT THE HEAD of the WOMAN.

Now  When our Sun  passes through the alignment
once a year, and at such time…our moon will be
at the FEET of that image.

Now Look at this image and see Our Moon Approaches
the Feet of that image as our earth and Sun Pass
through the Alignment:

 (24)
Position of the Moon and Sun in realtime…
(Aug 6th) Approaching Virgo…(moon approaching feet)

We wrap it up here, but note before we stop, the
weakened condition of our military bases stateside,
as our armies are disperesed abroad,
we note challenges being issued of Heaven to a kingdom,
and mockery being offered to those preparations
being made on the part of that kingdom to do battle
with heaven.

As we later look at NAHUM…we will be noting that
there is a seemingly mirror image of events in Heaven
prior to later unfolding on the earth.  We have noted
the significance of scriptural reference to Untimely figs,
and a timeframe to perhaps a coded message in
Revelations noting a particular season.
Consider that which Yeshua is recorded  to have taught
his Disciples, a particular Prayer of specifics…
“pray that your flight be not in winter, nor
on the Sabbath Day” paraphrase mine…
note in particular that a timeframe of seasons
is noted.  The Annointed one, Yeshua, often spoke
from Daniel, there is an issue of “The Man of Sin Being
Revealed” and to understand such, one should note that
the timeframe of the fall of Babylon to Cyrus, was
about the timeframe of the festival of the Sin cult,
who worshipped the moon god whose name
was “Sin.”  One should also note this was a season
just after or about Harvest, and prior to winter.
One should also note Belshazzar’s mockery of Daniel,
implicating his mockery also of Marduk, the
sun God of his Fathers worship prior to
Nebudchudnezzars conversion upon having eaten with
wild animals for 7 years to Glorify YHWH the one God,
the living God of heaven and Daniels prophecies to one
who would “worship not the god of his fathers.”

As Daniel considered the prophecies of those before
him, we see Daniel as an annointed one,
a servant of JAH’.

Nahum 3:12 All thy strong holds shall be like fig
trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken,
they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.

King James Version: Nahum Chapter 3

1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;

2 The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of
the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.

3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear:
and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there
is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot,
the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms,
and families through her witchcrafts.

5 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy
skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile,
and will set thee as a gazingstock.

7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee,
and say, Nineveh
is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence
shall I seek comforters for thee?

8 Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers,
that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and
her wall was from the sea?

9 Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength,
and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.

In fact, the tail of Leo points right towards Virgo. Another option is to find it’s
brightest star, Spica. To find Spica, start at the Big Dipper. Follow the arc of the
handle to Arcturus and then continue on to Spica. As the accompanying image
shows, Virgo is a large constellation. In fact, it is the 2nd largest constellation.

Spiral galaxies, denote by S, have a central nucleus surrounded by a flattened
disc with the stars, gas, and dust organized into a pattern of spiral arms.
Irregular galaxies, which have no obvious nucleus or ordered structure, are
denoted by “Irr” and are broadly subdivided into “Irr I” and “Irr II”. Irr I
galaxies display evidence of recent or ongoing star formation

“Roman Mithraism was a mystery-religion that had a unique development that
was quite separate from its earlier history in Iran, India, and Upper Mesopotamia.
It gained a widespread following in the Roman Empire during the first four centuries

Magus or magi were a member of the Zoroastrian priestly caste of the Medes
and Persians, after the rise of Zoroaster (Greek name), whose real name was
Zarathustra (Persian) and he founded Zoroastrianism in 500 B.C.    The ancient
Greeks and Hebrews knew them as astrologers, interpreters of dreams, and
givers of omens.    These Magi or wise men (sages) from the East traveled to
Bethlehem to pay homage to the infant Jesus.    Whatever it may have been,
as you know it resulted in the story of the Wise Men (Magi), who selected one
particular star and followed it to the place where the baby Jesus lay.

“The moon orbits the earth in a roughly circular path, taking about one month
from start to finish. In fact, that is where we get the idea for a “month.”
According to Scripture, one of the reasons God created the celestial bodies
was to be for signs, seasons, days, and years (Genesis 1:14)—in other words,
to mark the passage of time. The moon does just that. It continually orbits
the earth every month with clockwork precision.”

“The zodiac also means a region of the celestial sphere that includes a
band of eight arc degrees above and below the ecliptic, and therefore
encompasses the paths of the Moon and the naked eye planets
(Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn). The classical astronomers
called these planets wandering stars to differentiate them from the
fixed stars of the celestial sphere (Ptolemy).”

 Scripture Index:

King James Version: Genesis Chapter 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was

upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided

the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called

Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of

the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters

which were under the firmament from the waters which

were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and

the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered

together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of

the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb

yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind,

whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after

his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after

his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven

to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for

seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give

light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day,

and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light

upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the

light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

King James Version: Nahum Chapter 2

1 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the

munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.

2 For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the

excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are

in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of

his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.

4 The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against

another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall

run like the lightnings.

5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they

shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.

6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.

7 And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her

maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.

8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away.

Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end

of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.

10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees

smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.

11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions,

where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid?

12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses,

and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.

13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots

in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy

prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

King James Version: Nahum Chapter 3

1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;

2 The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the

pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.

3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and

there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is

none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the

mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families

through her witchcrafts.

5 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts

upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee

as a gazingstock.

7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee,

and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?

8 Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the

waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?

9 Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy

helpers.

10 Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were

dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable

men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

11 Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength

because of the enemy.

12 All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken,

they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.

13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be

set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.

14 Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the

morter, make strong the brickkiln.

15 There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like

the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.

16 Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm

spoileth, and fleeth away.

17 Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which

camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their

place is not known where they are.

18 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy

people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.

19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of

thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed

continually?

King James Version: Revelation Chapter 6

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that

were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou

not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them,

that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their

brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake;

and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs,

when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and

island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains,

and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens

and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that

sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Note Clothed with Sackcloth in Revelations 11, likewise in the sermon “the bird” one

who would come bringing the name of God, and with that placing into perspective a

mystery of the sun and moon and stars being darkened.

Note here also in Revelations 11 a reference to TWO different Kingdoms, spiritial

reference in physical application to a present city. Consider the previous constellations

the Jews had witnessed other empires attribute in the region of the Sky now known as Virgo,

about the time of a star appearing in the east, possibly in COMA, as opposed to the Roman

Constellations.  Note that if one were to consider Draco in Heaven the opposite side of that

image (feet) would place you in the region of Virgo in the night sky.

King James Version: Revelation Chapter 11

1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and

measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto

the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred

and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies:

and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power

over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless

pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and

Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three

days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts

one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon

their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended

up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the

earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to

the God of heaven.

14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

King James Version: Revelation Chapter 12

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon

under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven

heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the

dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon

as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child

was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they

should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the

dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which

deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and

the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is

cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;

and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the

earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he

knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman

which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the

wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time,

from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might

cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up

the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of

her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
