IN the very first statements in the opening paragraphs of this study, I note that I do believe scripture teaches a raptural event. The title of this study does not imply "THERE IS NO RAPTURE" so much as it does "THE RAPTURE....AS YOU KNOW IT" likely does not exist. The study addresses fallicies in the mainstream beliefs and promotions of this doctrine. The very mainstream (and incorrect) teaching of that doctrine suggests that Gabriel will stand with one foot on the sea, one on the land and sound his trump and a Seven year tribulation will begin. This would make his trump the first of SEVEN trumps to sound foretold in the book of Revelation if the teaching is indeed correct. But it is not. I am sorry if that does not set well with some. I do recommend to you Janet that on that point alone you consider a passage most commonly used to promote that same teaching, 1 Corinthians 15:51,52. I had baptist preacher get angry with me a couple years ago when I tried to present this truth to him. He was not angry at what I had to say, as he never heard it. He was angry because he was embarrassed when I aksed him to quote 1 Corinthians 15:51 and 52. He said "Behold I shew you a mystery, we shall not all sleep but we all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an Eye" And I looked at him blankly and said, ok, whats the rest of it? He had pastored churches over 4 decades. He tried again could not complete the passage. The fact is he didn't know it. FOR 4 decades he had preached those verses on a regular basis, and yet he didn't know them. This is because he only retained what was usefull to the promotion of that false doctrine. And 1 CORINTHIANS 15:52 is commonly preached out of context. You see, after the word "EYE" in that verse, there is a COMMA. THe rules of the English language dictate that that comma suggests "THE THOUGHT IS NOT COMPLETE", hence there is more information on the other side of that comma to complete the idea. ALL THESE YEARS, and only recently, and a couple of years after I had been preaching the truth of this matter did I hear other preachers begin to allude to the same. You see, that idea, about GABRIEL blowing the first trump of Revelations...the first of seven...well, just not scripturally sound. I am not going to tell you what the passage says, go see it for yourself. 1 Corinthians 15:52 does not tell you the hour or the day, but it does tell you an event, upon which that content of verses 51,and 52 so often taken out of context applied improperly to false prophetic teachings, it tells you an event in which that content will happen, when we shall all be changed. If you have ever visited the Mt.Carmel DB, then you know I GENERATE A MASSIVE amount of TEXT there on a Weekly basis, and there is MORE traffic there than here, but my focuse to that site is not for those reasons, rather that the site is pre-established and actually having roots to the survivors all the way back to 1993. I stick with that site more for reasons of maintaining unity than anything else.

So please understand, I simply cannot be “EVERYWHERE” at once, and due to the amount of time I am involved with The Mt. Carmel DB and other various projects related to the Survivors, I simply don’t get by here as often as some might like.

If you are shy to post on the Mt Carmel DB, or to even email me, please go ahead and leave your post anyway, but do check back later, and peridically for my response.

As a Young Baptist (ex) Preacher, it was "required" reading for me and my soon to be Wife before our actual wedding. Tim LaHaye in his manual, draws upon the wisdom of "PROSTITUES" in covering his subject matter. Going into great detail about things which are in fact by thier presentation PORNOGRAPHY!! The only thing more shameful is that Christians Should Embrace such as "WISDOM." Sex should be reserved for privacy of Marriage, AND SHOULD BE an EXPERIMENTAL PROCESS.
